Loaned back to New York Duncan has rejoined the Red Bulls on another season-long loan with the option to buy from KV Oostende, the club announced Sunday.

Impact Duncan made seven appearances for the Belgian side Oostende before moving back to the Red Bulls on a six-month loan last August, and the 25-year-old is now returning to the club for the 2023 campaign as well. He will likely continue as the first-choice right-back/right wing-back in New York, with Dylan Nealis a capable backup option.

Impact Duncan made just seven appearances while in Belgium before returning to the Red Bulls, from which he went pro and made 72 league appearances in four seasons. He's a capable option at right-back with decent two-way value and he'll go into competition with Dylan Nealis for minutes unless a change in formation allows both to play. With three assists and 93 tackles recorded in his last full MLS campaign, Duncan should be a mid-tier option.
