Impact Kelsy had a tough time in his first match with Portland, shooting just twice and failing to really do much. It was always going to be a tough match, especially when Kamal Miller was handed his marching orders inside the opening 15 minutes. Returns to MLS Kelsy has completed a transfer to Portland from Shakthar Dontesk, according to his new club.

Impact Kelsy is back in MLS play after departing Cincinnati following the end of his loan, as he will now head to Portland to join the Timbers. He signs with the team in a contract until 2028, holding a club option for the 2029 season. He started in 16 of his 25 appearances while with Cincinnati, scoring six goals on 32 shots in his 1,200 minutes of play. He will likely have to work into a role with his new team but should be expected to see minutes in at least a rotational role.
