GAME LOG
Starting on Sunday
Firpo is fit and in the starting XI for Sunday's match against West Ham.
Impact
Firpo returns after leaving Leeds' FA Cup match in mid week with an injury. The fullback returns to take up a role on the flank for Leeds during Sunday's Premier League clash with West Ham.

ROTOWIRE
Comes off injured in FA Cup
Firpo was subbed out of Sunday's FA Cup defeat against West Ham in the 69th minute after suffering a possible concussion.
Impact
The severity of Firpo's injury is unknown as of yet, but he has a week to recover before Leeds' next Premier League game, also against West Ham. Cody Drameh replaced him at left back/left midfield on Sunday.

ROTOWIRE
Available for Liverpool clash
Firpo (suspension) is available for Sunday's match versus Liverpool.
Impact
Firpo's return should be a massive boost for the huge clash with the Reds. In terms of fantasy though after 16 goals allowed in merely four outings the defender should be well avoided in most formats.

ROTOWIRE
Booked in defeat
Firpo made a clearance, an interception and created a chance in Tuesday's 7-0 defeat against Manchester City. He also received his fifth yellow card of the Premier League season.
Impact
Firpo will be suspended for Saturday's clash against Arsenal for yellow card accumulation. Leeds have plenty of injuries at defense at the moment, and might have to fill Firpo's left back spot with a midfielder for the game.

ROTOWIRE
Should return against Spurs
Firpo (strain) is "healthy" and "needs" minutes ahead of Sunday's trip to Tottenham, according to manager Marcelo Bielsa.
Impact
At this point, there's a chance Firpo starts and goes a full 90 or completely misses the squad. Bielsa has been extremely cryptic with his updates, as Firpo has been given this label the last couple matches. However, this time he had the international break to recover, so he may be more likely to make the squad Sunday.

ROTOWIRE
Could play Sunday
Firpo (strain) should be an option for Sunday's match against Leicester City, according to manager Marcelo Bielsa.
Impact
Firpo didn't make the squad last week after playing with the U23s last Friday. He's had another week of full training, so it's thought he'll be an option in the senior team Sunday. When healthy, he's started five-straight matches, so if available, he could be in the XI against Leicester.

ROTOWIRE
In contention Sunday
Firpo (strain) will be available for Sunday's clash with Norwich City.
Impact
Firpo returns to the squad following a two-match stint on the sidelines due to his muscular injury. The left-back had started all four previous appearances for the club and should be in the mix for a spot in the starting XI against Norwich.

ROTOWIRE
Out against Wolves
Firpo will remain out for Saturday's match against Wolves because of a muscular problem, according to manager Marcelo Bielsa.
Impact
This injury kind of came out of nowhere and it's another issue for Leeds to deal with. Hopefully, Firpo will only miss one more match, but nothing is guaranteed with muscle injuries. It's possible Stuart Dallas will be used at left-back against Wolves unless Bielsa opts to go to his 3-3-3-1 again.

ROTOWIRE
Misses squad Saturday
Firpo is not in the squad for Saturday's match against Southampton.
Impact
An update will likely be revealed on Firpo's absence, as he probably wouldn't be completely dropped from the squad for no reason. Stuart Dallas is starting at left-back against Southampton and could continue there if Firpo is forced to miss an extended period.

ROTOWIRE
Scores own goal in loss
Firpo scored an own goal in Saturday's 2-1 loss to West Ham, while creating one chance and making five tackles (two won).
Impact
Firpo was having a good outing, leading his side in tackles, but scored against his own net in the 67th minute after an unfortunate play to give West Ham the equalizer. The left-back started three games in a row and will now look to get the nod again versus Watford on Saturday.

ROTOWIRE
Makes lineup against Liverpool
Firpo is listed in the starting lineup for Sunday's match against Liverpool.
Impact
Firpo had been dealing with a case of COVID-19 that made his place in the team more tenuous to open the season but he's now fit and promptly earned a place at left-back.

ROTOWIRE
Available against Liverpool
Firpo (COVID-19) is available for Saturday's match against Liverpool, according to manager Marcelo Bielsa.
Impact
Firpo is back from COVID-19 and will try and find a spot back in the starting XI. He's had a slow start to his Leeds tenure, playing 45 minutes off the bench in the opener and then going only 60 minutes in his lone start against Everton.

ROTOWIRE
Tests positive for COVID-19
Firpo tested positive for COVID-19 recently, he announced Sunday on Twitter.
Impact
Firpo will have to isolate for at least 10 days since his positive test before he can return. He missed Sunday's draw against Burnley, but he may be back in time for the Liverpool clash after the international break.

Available against Man United
Firpo (undisclosed) is available for Saturday's opener against Manchester United, according to manager Marcelo Bielsa.
Impact
Firpo is apparently healthy again after missing the last couple friendlies, but given those absences, he's not expected to start. There's a chance his role grows in the side as the season moves along, but he's not expected to be in the XI for Saturday's opener.

•
ROTOWIRE
Status unknown ahead of opener
Firpo has been excluded from the Leeds squad in each of their last couple friendlies because of an undisclosed injury.
Impact
Unsurprisingly, manager Marcelo Bielsa has released no information on a possible injury for Firpo, which makes things difficult for a new player going into a new season. Given his absence, it's unlikely he'll be included in the XI for Saturday's opener against Man United, though Bielsa has done crazier things in his life.

Leeds sign Junior Firpo in £13m deal from Barcelona ' Goal.com
Leeds United have completed the £13 million ($18m) signing of Junior Firpo from Barcelona, with the defender signing a four-year contract at Elland Road.

Transfers to Leeds
Firpo signed a four-year contract with Leeds United after transferring from Barcelona, the club announced on Tuesday.
Impact
Firpo never nailed down a spot at Barcelona, making only 24 and 10 appearances (14 and four starts) in La Liga and the Champions League, respectively, in his two seasons in red and blue. But the 24-year-old will be eager to prove he is still the player who showed so much promise at Real Betis a few years ago. He will likely battle Ezgjan Alioski for the starting left back spot or possibly Luke Aylingat right back, but don't be surprised if manager Marcelo Bielsa tries to experiment with pushing Firpo farther up into midfield as well.
