Joining Miami Martinez has signed a one-year contract with Inter Miami after getting released from Atlanta United, the club announced Wednesday.

Impact Despite a rocky end to his time in Atlanta, Martinez will deservedly go down as a club legend after scoring 111 goals with 17 assists across 158 appearances in all competitions since he joined in 2017. He led the expansion team to its first MLS Cup 2018 while also winning the MVP and Golden Boot awards as he scored 35 goals across the regular season and playoffs that season. The 29-year-old is now moving to Miami, where he can take over the role of newly retired Gonzalo Higuain as Leonardo Campana's strike partner in a front-two.
