Out of favor at Kansas City Sporting KC manager Peter Vermes has announced that the club will be parting ways with Mauri.

Impact Mauri started eight games last season and came off the bench in the 2022 season opener, but he hasn't been selected for any match day squad since, and it seems unlikely that he will be included again. The 25-year-old has fallen out of favor in Kansas City and he will want to move on to a different club as soon as he can.

On bench in playoff loss Mauri was an unused substitute in last weekend's Western Conference semifinal defeat against Real Salt Lake.

Impact Mauri tallied a goal and an assist in nine MLS appearances (eight starts) after transferring to Kansas City in August, becoming a mainstay in the midfield lineup during September. The 25-year-old will benefit from having a preseason with the team heading into 2022.
