Out for season Villafana (knee) has been placed on the season-ending injury list, the Galaxy announced Sunday.

Impact Villafana was initially expected to miss around two months after undergoing knee surgery in March, but it has now been revealed that the 32-year-old will require further operation and he will be out for the entire 2022 season.

Undergoes knee surgery Villafana is expected to miss 6-8 weeks after having surgery on his knee on Monday, Galaxy manager Greg Vanney confirmed this week.

Impact Villafana is yet to appear this season for Los Angeles, and it seems he will be out until early May at the earliest after this procedure. Julian Araujo is likely to continue at right back in his absence.
