Impact Matip was expected to depart, especially after suffering a torn ACL earlier in the season. The defender's now officially set to leave the club. He's been a stalwart in the backline but in recent seasons his role has dwindled as Ibrahima Konate was brought in to the starting XI. Matip ends the 2023/24 season with 10 appearances (nine starts) in the Premier League.
