Out with toe injury Willock will miss Saturday's trip to Watford with a toe injury suffered in training, according to manager Steve Bruce. "Joe's was a complete fluke - unfortunately he kicked the gro...
Impact Combined with a slow start to open the campaign, Willock will now miss a match or two with a toe injury. This will maybe give him some time to watch from the sidelines, having compiled just three shots and two chances created in four starts. His absence points to a possible role for Ryan Fraser or Jeff Hendrick in the midfield.

Ready for Friday Willock (knock) is healthy and available for Friday's match against Leeds, according to manager Steve Bruce. "He (Joe Willock) had a couple of knocks towards the last ten minutes o...
Impact This never seemed like serious injury and that's the case, as Willock should remain in the XI Friday. He's struggled to repeat last season's form and will hope to change that in a decent matchup against a struggling Leeds back line.
SEPTEMBER 16, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Picks up knock in loss Willock had two shots and nine tackles (four won) in Saturday's 4-1 loss against Man United before leaving late with an apparent knock, according to manager Steve Bruce.
Impact Willock has started the last three matches for Newcastle and while this injury doesn't seem serious, there's a chance he could be dropped for Friday's game. He's struggled to recreate last season's form and has managed just two shots across three starts.
SEPTEMBER 15, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Fails to take shot in draw Willock had four tackles (two won) and an interception in Saturday's 2-2 draw against Southampton.
Impact The form Willock found last season appears to be gone, as he's managed no shots and one chance created in two starts. A repeat of last season's production was always going to be hard to come by given his position in Newcastle's midfield, something that doesn't lead to consistent fantasy numbers.

Willock joins Newcastle, Vestergaard to Leicester in EPL

Newcastle signed Joe Willock from Arsenal for a reported fee of around $35 million after the midfielder spent a successful spell on loan at the northeast club last season
AUGUST 13, 2021 • Associated Press
Returns to Newcastle Willock transferred to Newcastle United from Arsenal on Friday.
Impact Willock struggled to break through at Arsenal but a loan spell with Newcastle in 2021 saw him score an impressive eight goals, including a run of scoring in seven consecutive games, from 14 total appearances. Now back at a club where he's shown immense promise, it wouldn't be surprising to see him consistently starting and flourishing along with Miguel Almiron, even if the attack remains a sore point due to the injury-prone performances of Callum Wilson and Allen Saint-Maximin, among others.
AUGUST 13, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
On bench in friendly Willock is listed on the bench for Sunday's friendly against Chelsea.
Impact Willock had picked up a groin issue in mid-July but now seems to be in good shape ahead of the coming club season. He scored goals in his final seven appearances of the 2020/21 campaign and could be an interesting player to watch amidst a team full of new signings.
AUGUST 1, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Dealing with groin issue Willock missed Arsenal's recent friendly against Hibernian because of a "minor groin issue," according to manager Mikel Arteta.
Impact Willock has been under a lot of speculation since his loan ended at Newcastle, as not many believe he'll stay with the Gunners. He blew up at the end of last season, scoring in seven-straight matches, and that may be enough to get him to stay at Arsenal. The hope is that he can get back to full health and show the team what he provides in preseason.
JULY 16, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Continues to set records in win Willock scored once, took three shots (one on target) and made three tackles (two won) in the 2-0 win against Fulham on Sunday.
Impact Willock became just the second player in Newcastle history to score in seven straight appearances. The only other play to do so was the legend Alan Shearer. Willock has boomed onto the stage over the past month or so and he is showing exactly what he can offer when he returns to his parent club Arsenal for next season.

Impact Willock made Premier League history in the close win against Sheffield. The midfielder scored in his sixth consecutive match making history as the youngest player in the league to do so and only the third Magpie player in the club's history. Willock has showed his true potential over the past month or so and he will most likely get recalled by his parent club Arsenal for next season.

Willock scores again as Newcastle beats Sheffield Utd 1-0

Midfielder Joe Willock became the youngest player to score in six successive Premier League games as he gave Newcastle a 1-0 win over last-place Sheffield United on Wednesday
MAY 19, 2021 • Associated Press
Scores after missed penalty Willock scored a goal while taking four shots (two on goal) and crossing once inaccurately during Friday's 4-3 loss to Manchester City.
Impact Willock found the back of the net in the 62nd minute, scoring after seeing his penalty attempt saved. The goal was the sixth of the season for the midfielder, while his four shots led Newcastle in the loss.
MAY 14, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Good to go Friday Willock was subbed off with a cramp last match and is ready for Friday's game against Manchester City, according to manager Steve Bruce.
Impact Willock has scored in each of his last four appearances and now faces the impossible in league winners Manchester City. Given this form, he'll probably remain in the starting XI, but outside of that goal he scored against Leicester City, he didn't do much else in terms of fantasy.
