Impact Barea will return to Real Salt Lake for the 2026 season after that his option was exercised. The forward made 12 appearances this season, starting once and contributed 12 shots and four chances created.

Impact Barea entered the fray for the final 20 minutes Saturday in Real Salt Lake's narrow 1-0 defeat at the hands of Seattle. Despite his abbreviated opportunity, the forward's two shots on goal marked a team-high for the fixture. Barea has made 11 appearances (one start) this season and averaged one shot attempt per appearance. However, he has yet to score his first MLS goal.
