Jack Harrison - Soccer News, Rumors, & Updates

Out six weeks Harrison is expected to miss at least six weeks due to a quad injury, according to his club.

Impact Harrison is hitting the sidelines for over a month after already missing some time over the past week, as the midfielder suffered a quad injury. This will leave the Revs without an important player, hopefully returning just ahead of the postseason. New England should be safely in the playoffs, no matter what, although the absence of a player with three assists in only seven appearances will be rough. Daniel Gazdag is an option to take time in Harrison's role, with Griffin Yow as another option.

Not an option Harrison (lower body) is out for Sunday's match against Chicago.

Impact Harrison will not make the call for New England as the attacker sits out due to a lower-body injury. He will now use the next week to recover, especially after it appeared he still had the chance to play Sunday before failing some sort of fitness check. He has been a starter as of late, so this is a rough loss, with Daniel Gazdag starting in his place.

SEPTEMBER 13 • ROTOWIRE

Listed as questionable for Sunday Harrison is questionable for Sunday's game against Chicago due to a lower-body injury.

Impact Harrison has started in each of his last six outings with the Revs and went 80 minutes in midweek, though he was limited to just one shot on target and one chance created. With three assists in those six starts, not having the speedy winger would be a huge blow for the Revs in an attack that's already missing Leonardo Campana (lower body). If Harrison doesn't play, Griffin Yow and Marcos Zambrano are options to take his place in the XI, with Daniel Gazdag being another alternative.

Impact Harrison has been highly active from the flank since signing with New England, with all but one of his six appearances including more than five crosses. He has also been accurate, registering more than three accurate attempts in as many games across his last five appearances. Harrison's biggest problem on the offensive front looks like his shooting, as his 12 shots have only mustered a 25.0 accuracy rate and no goals to speak of. And without an assist in each of Harrison's last three appearances, it looks like he may be slipping, but that just goes to show what is expected of him now after his strong start in a Revolution uniform.

Impact It makes sense that the Revolution would promote Harrison to starting duties as soon as possible, given he spent last season splitting time between two European clubs and his new team being able to shift its starting XI around without promising youngster Ilay Feingold (ankle) available. Among the Revs' three goals, all of them were set up by Harrison delivering balls into the penalty box, and two of them were directly for subsequent goalscorer Alhassan Yusuf. In just two starts, Harrison has three assists on 11 chances created and nine accurate crosses, making the Revolution a highly formidable side as August goes into its last week.

This is huge news for New England, as he is set to be one of their key players following his move. That said, he has plenty of experience in the Premier League and could be a game-changer for the club, trying to replicate what numerous players have done before following a transfer across the pond.

AUGUST 2 • ROTOWIRE

Not yet available for New England Harrison will be unable to make his Revolution debut Saturday at Montreal, according to the MLS availability report.
