Option exercised Boehmer will be back with Vancouver in 2025 after his contract option was exercised.

Impact Boehmer is set to return to Vancouver for 2025, where he will be the backup option behind Yohei Takaoka once more. Boehmer wasn't called into action much in 2024, but he showed enough to earn the second job on the depth chart.

Third string keeper this season Boehmer made three MLS appearances (two starts) this season, making eight saves and allowing four goals.

Impact Boehmer made his MLS debut in July when both Thomas Hasal and Cody Cropper were out injured, but the 20-year-old returned to the reserve team in MLS NEXT Pro shortly afterwards. He could move up a spot in the goalkeeper depth chart if Cropper departs the club during the offseason, but he would still firmly be a backup option heading into 2023.

Thomas Hasal still hasn't returned from a finger injury, so Boehmer could get the start in goal against the Timbers if Cropper doesn't clear the concussion protocols by the weekend.
