Gonzalo Higuain - To retire after season Higuain has announced his retirement from professional competition upon the conclusion of the season, according to Felipe Cardenas of The Athletic.
Impact Higuain will conclude his career as one of the better strikers of the 21st century, winning titles in both Italy and France and scoring over 120 goals in each country and playing for two of the biggest clubs in Real Madrid and Juventus. Though things came to somewhat of a sputtering end, Higuain has scored double-digit goals in both 2021 and 2022 for Inter Miami, giving his team a chance to make the playoffs for his final act. As he worked his way from Argentine giants River Plate to MLS, Higuain also featured for AC Milan and Chelsea after setting the transfer record for his move to Juventus.

Impact Higuain found the back of the net in the 86th minute, leaving it late but claiming all three points for Miami. While he's not in the conversation for the Golden Boot in the league, it's been a strong season for Higuain as now scored 14 times in 26 appearances.
