Loaned to Roma Wijnaldum has joined Roma on a season-long loan from PSG with the option to buy on a permanent basis, the club announced Friday.

Impact Wijnaldum started just 21 games across Ligue 1 and the Champions League last season in a very crowded PSG midfield. He did tally a respectable three goals and three assists during his time in Paris, but the 31-year-old is sure to have a more important role in Rome, where he could form a dangerous midfield alongside Lorenzo Pellegrini and Bryan Cristante for the upcoming campaign.
