Vítor Carvalho - Logs eight crosses off bench Vitinha had one off-target shot, created two chances, sent in eight crosses (two accurate) and was shown a yellow card during Wednesday's 2-0 loss against Cremonese.
Impact Vitinha was brought as part of a double substitution in the 52nd minute and had a significant impact on his team's offense, creating a lot for teammates. The attacker may have lost his spot in the lineup recently but more performances like this one could get him back in contention for more starts.
OCTOBER 31 • ROTOWIRE
Caleb Ekuban - Takes three shots off bench in loss Ekuban had three off-target shots during Wednesday's 2-0 loss against Cremonese.
Impact Ekuban was brought off the bench as usual, taking the pitch as part of a double substitution in the 52nd minute, and couldn't help his team finding the back of the net but it wasn't for lack of trying as the forward still posted a team high in shots attempted. Ekuban has looked better in recent games but he still needs to prove he can score at a higher rate (one goal over eight appearances this season) to start receiving more fantasy consideration.
OCTOBER 31 • ROTOWIRE
Nicola Leali - Allows two in loss Leali made two saves and conceded two goals during Wednesday's 2-0 loss against Cremonese.
Impact Leali didn't have much collaboration from the defensive line ahead of him as he saw Federico Bonazzoli appearing unmarked inside the six-yard box in both goals scored by the opposition. With multiple goals allowed in five of his last six starts, the goalkeeper is experiencing a rough start of campaign.
OCTOBER 31 • ROTOWIRE
Nicolae Stanciu - Stays out for Cremonese game Stanciu (thigh) didn't make the game-day squad list to face Cremonese on Wednesday.
Impact Stanciu was called up but ultimately sat out his fourth game in a row due to a thigh problem. If the move was precautionary and not caused by a setback, he's set to be available for Monday's game versus Sassuolo with a few more practices under his belt. He'll deputize Ruslan Malinovskyi, Vitinha and Morten Thorsby at first.
OCTOBER 30 • ROTOWIRE
Alessandro Marcandalli - DNP against Cremonese Marcandalli (thigh) didn't come off the bench in Wednesday's 2-0 defeat against Cremonese.
Impact Marcandalli was back in the squad after two fixtures but wasn't involved, which has usually been the case when starters Leo Ostigard and Johan Vasquez were both available. He's competing with Sebastian Otoa to be the top defensive deputy.

Nicolae Stanciu - Likely for Cremonese bout Stanciu (thigh) returned to full training ahead of Wednesday's game versus Cremonese, Genoa informed.
Impact Stanciu has healed up after missing three games due to a thigh injury and will provide depth, especially behind Ruslan Malinovskyi. He hadn't played in two of three games before getting hurt. He has featured thrice so far, registering four shots (zero on target), two chances created, nine crosses (zero accurate) and five corners.
OCTOBER 28 • ROTOWIRE
Alessandro Marcandalli - Probable for Cremonese match Marcandalli (thigh) "has looked well in training and should be back with the squad Wednesday," coach Patrick Vieira announced.
Impact Marcandalli has recuperated from a thigh ailment that cost him two matches and is set to resume being the top defensive deputy behind Leo Ostigard and Johan Vasquez. He has appeared three times so far (two starts), logging two interceptions and seven clearances and contributing to one clean sheet.
OCTOBER 28 • ROTOWIRE
Leo Ostigard - Logs 13 clearances in loss Ostigard created one chance and made two tackles (both won), 13 clearances and one block during Sunday's 2-1 loss against Torino.
Impact Ostigard was one of the game's top fantasy performers despite being on the losing side as he posted a season high in clearances and mostly prevailed against opposing forwards. With 23 clearances over his last three league starts, the center-back profiles as one of Genoa's most reliable fantasy assets and games like this could be more the rule than the exception.
OCTOBER 27 • ROTOWIRE
Nicola Leali - Allows two in loss Leali made five saves and conceded two goals during Sunday's 2-1 loss against Torino.
Impact Leali had multiple nice interventions here but in the 63rd minute he was betrayed by teammate Stefano Sabelli's legs that sent the ball into his own net. And, in the 90th minute, when both sides appeared settled for the draw the goalkeeper saw Guillermo Maripan volleying a corner kick home from point-blank range. That's now four of the last five games with multiple goals allowed for Leali, who will try to bounce back during Wednesday's clash against Cremonese.
OCTOBER 27 • ROTOWIRE
Stefano Sabelli - Scores own goal in loss Sabelli created one chance, made three tackles, two clearances and one interceptions but scored an own goal during Sunday's 2-1 loss against Torino.
Impact Sabelli was having a solid although unimpressive game, helping his side to hold the opposition scoreless for an hour but then, in the 63rd minute, the defender was very unfortunate when he saw the ball going into his own net after hitting his leg while he was trying to prevent an opponent to pick up a cross at the far post. The fact that his peripheral numbers weren't exactly the ones from a high-end defender just hurt his fantasy output even more. However, the versatility and the veteran leadership will also help Sabelli finding a place in Genoa's lineup.
OCTOBER 27 • ROTOWIRE
Morten Thorsby - Scores in first season start Thorsby scored a goal off three shots (one on target) and made four clearances during Sunday's 2-1 loss against Torino.
Impact Thorsby received his first chance to start a game this season and needed just seven minutes to prove he deserved it with the goal that broke the deadlock. The midfielder remained very active during the rest of the first half and was also helpful on defensive aerial plays, making a strong case for remaining in the lineup even if his injured teammates Junior Messias (thigh) and Nicolae Stanciu (thigh) are available again for Wednesday's clash against Cremonese.

Junior Messias - Unused from bench Messias (thigh) went unused off the bench in Sunday's 2- loss to Torino.
Impact Messias was back with the team Sunday after battling a thigh injury, but did not see the field, instead going unused off the bench. That said, the attacker will likely remain a rotational option moving forward for the club, appearing on the bench in all five games he has been available for and only seeing the field in two of those games for 64 minutes of play.
OCTOBER 26 • ROTOWIRE
Junior Messias - Expected back for Torino game Messias (thigh) "has had a good week of training and should be available for Sunday's game against Torino," coach Patrick Vieira announced.
Impact Messias has recuperated from a thigh injury that cost him three contests and will resume providing depth in multiple offensive roles. He featured off the bench twice before going down, tallying one inaccurate cross, two tackles (one won), one interception and one clearance.

Patrizio Masini - Shows up in Parma bout Masini had two shots (one on goal), seven clearances, three crosses (one accurate) and two chances created in Sunday's 0-0 draw versus Parma.
Impact Masini contributed in the final third more than in previous fixtures, as Genoa were able to lay siege for a long time thanks to a one-match advantage. He set a new season high in key passes and matched the ones in shots and crosses. He kept his season-long streak of games with at least one tackle alive, although he failed to win one for the first time. He has racked up 15 in the last five games (10 successful), posting seven crosses (two accurate), eight interceptions and 13 clearances.
OCTOBER 20 • ROTOWIRE
Valentin Carboni - Brings some juice against Parma Carboni recorded two shots (one on goal), four crosses (zero accurate), one clearnace and one chance created in Sunday's 0-0 draw versus Parma.
Impact Carboni started on the bench like he has done in the past four matches but was inserted at half time and was a decent source of offense, although he lacked touch in his deliveries. He'll continue to compete for minutes with Stefano Sabelli, Aaron Martin, Vitinha and Lorenzo Venturino.
OCTOBER 20 • ROTOWIRE
Caleb Ekuban - Takes three shots in Parma game Ekuban drew two fouls and had three shots (zero on goal) and one chance created in Sunday's 0-0 draw against Parma.
Impact Ekuban drew his first start of the year and posted a new season high in shots but wasn't super threatening. He's part of a three-man committee for the no.9 role along with Lorenzo Colombo and Jeff Ekhator, who has been the most effective so far. He has scored once and added five attempts (two on target), four key passes and two crosses (zero accurate) in the last five tilts.
OCTOBER 20 • ROTOWIRE
Ruslan Malinovskyi - Bombs away versus Parma Malinovskyi created three scoring chances and recorded six shots (two on goal), three crosses (two accurate) and two corners in Sunday's 0-0 draw versus Parma.
Impact Malinovskyi was by far the most dangeorous man for his side, leading it in attempts and key pass, but Zion Suzuki answered the bell every time. He posted a new season in shots. He has assisted once and logged 10 shots (three on target), seven key passes, 10 crosses (four accurate) and seven corners while starting in the last five fixtures.
OCTOBER 20 • ROTOWIRE
Johan Vasquez - Sturdy in Parma contest Vasquez recorded three shots (zero on goal), one interception and five clearances in Sunday's 0-0 draw against Parma.
Impact Vasquez was dependable in the back as usual and was also a menace on set pieces in the opposing box, setting a new season high in shots. He has posted three or more clearnaces in the first seven matches, totaling 32, adding five interceptions and five blocks and contribtuing to two clean sheets. He didn't record a tackle after doing so in six straight contests.
OCTOBER 20 • ROTOWIRE
Maxwel Cornet - Missed crucial PK against Parma Cornet (thigh) generated one shot (one on goal), five crosses (one accurate) and one corner and had a penalty kick saved in nine minutes in Sunday's 0-0 draw versus Parma.
Impact Cornet was very busy considering the short amount of time he spent on the pitch, leading his side in deliveries, and stepped up to the plate in on a likely game winnger the stoppage time, but Zion Suzuki guessed right. He'll look to stay healthy and challenge Vitinha, Valentin Carboni and Lorenzo Venturino in the coming rounds.
OCTOBER 20 • ROTOWIRE
Leo Ostigard - Solid in Parma meeting Ostigard (ribs) created one scoring chance and recorded two tackles (one won) and five clearances in Sunday's 0-0 draw versus Parma.
Impact Ostigard put together a fine performance in his return from a one-game absence and will be a pillar of the defense as long as he stays healty. He has notched three ore more clearnaces in every fixture, amassing 25 and posting four tackles (one won) and three blocks, with one clean sheet. He failed to record an interception after registering four in the previous three games combined.
