Won't return Saturday Jesus (groin) isn't an option for Saturday's clash with Brighton, according to manager Mikel Arteta. "He's progressing really well, he had a muscle injury and he's doing quite a lo...
Impact Jesus is progressing through his recovery program, and could be back as soon as a Sept. 15 trip to Tottenham for the North London Derby. When fully fit Jesus should compete for the starting job with Kai Havertz. That said Havertz has been in good form and seems to be the preferred option to lead the line moving forward.
AUGUST 30, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Out with groin injury Jesus was not in the squad to face Aston Villa on Saturday due to a groin injury.
Impact The injury is not deemed serious, with Jesus potentially being available as soon as next week's match against Brighton. The forward lost his manager's faith down the stretch last year and has been rumored to leave Arsenal as Kai Havertz has taken over the starting number nine role.
AUGUST 25, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Nine goal contributions Jesus scored four times and assisted five more goals in 27 appearances (17 starts) in the Premier League.
Impact Jesus wasn't at his best, and he ended the season with far fewer goal contributions than his first season in London. Still on the whole it was a solid season from the attacker, even if Kai Havertz ended the season as the preferred striking option.
MAY 31, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Assist in win over Cherries Jesus created an assist and a chance in Saturday's 3-0 victory over AFC Bournemouth.
Impact Jesus came on after 86 minutes Saturday for Bukayo Saka. His 13 minutes on the pitch was impactful, he made the pass to assist Declan Rice's goal, Arsenal's third. The Brazilian is not a regular starter and often brought on from the bench during the second half of games. He is turning out to be an effective weapon for the Gunners with two assists from his last three appearances.

Arsenal are evolving at a pace that could leave Zinchenko, Jesus and others behind Oleksandr Zinchenko and Gabriel Jesus quickly became integral players at Arsenal but suddenly their positions seem less secure

Finds assist in win Jesus assisted once to go with two shots (zero on goal), two crosses (zero accurate) and one chance created in Saturday's 2-0 win versus Wolverhampton.
Impact Jesus entered the starting XI Saturday after starting on the bench in the club's last contest, putting on a decent performance in his 80 minutes of play after finding Leandro Trossard in the 45th minute for the opening goal of the match. Jesus now has eight goal contributions this league campaign, far off from the 17 he had last season, only appearing in three fewer games this campaign.
APRIL 21, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Takes three shots in loss Jesus had three shots (one on goal), created one chance and drew one foul during Sunday's 2-0 loss against Aston Villa.
Impact Jesus made his second consecutive league start and was involved in some dangerous plays up front, but nothing enough for his team to find the back of the net. This has been a season marked by injuries and performance issues for Jesus but the forward still have some matches left to try finishing his campaign in a higher note.
APRIL 15, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Assist off bench Jesus assisted once to go with zero corners and two chances created in Tuesday's 2-2 draw versus Bayern Munich.
Impact Despite hitting a rough patch from the end of the group stage to the Round of 16, Jesus is back on track in Champions League action, proven with a cleverly pitched assist to goalscorer Leandro Trossard. Four goals and three assists are his contributions across the 2023-24 Premier League. But in just seven UCL appearances, Jesus has another four goals and three assists.
APRIL 9, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Unused sub versus Luton Jesus was an unused substitute during Wednesday's 2-0 win over Luton Town.
Impact Jesus keeps struggling to find playing time since he returned from his latest injury, staying unused on the bench for the second time, something that just didn't happen last season. With Arsenal having some many players up front playing well and Gabriel Martinelli also recovered from injury, Jesus will have to display his best version when given the chance to play to recover the starting spot he once had locked up.
APRIL 4, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Three shots in draw Jesus registered three shots (zero on goal) and one chance created in Sunday's 0-0 draw versus Manchester City. In addition, he was given a yellow card in the 67th minute.
Impact Jesus was back in the starting XI for the first time since returning from his injury five matches ago, lining up out of his usual striker role and instead left on the left flank of the attack. He wasn't too impressive in his return to the starting role, as he notched one chance created and three shots. He will hope to now continue getting the start, looking to improve on his four league goals.

Should see time against Sheffield Jesus looks to return to the field against Sheffield United on Monday, as manager Mikel Arteta stated, "Well he's fit enough, but knowing how long he will last is something differe...
Impact Jesus returned to the team sheet last week but went unused following a four-match absence due to a knee issue. However, now he appears to be set to play and earn the start against Sheffield. The biggest question around the player at the moment is how long he will last, as he is not expected to play the full 90 but should still be a part of the game for a decent amount of time. The club will just want to avoid any injuries and preserve their player for the rest of the season as they stay tight-knit in the title race, with the forward missing a total of nine matches this season due to a plethora of injuries.

Ramping up fitness Jesus was viewed in team training Wednesday, continuing to work on his fitness ahead of Monday's match against Sheffield United.
Impact Jesus is still trying to up his fitness levels following his knee issues, as he was added to the team sheet for Saturday's match against Newcastle but went unused off the bench in the win. It has now been five matches since the forward saw the pitch last, but he will hope to change that Monday, hoping to earn some time and possibly the start when they take on Sheffield United, as he has started in all but five matches this season when healthy.
FEBRUARY 28, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
On bench against Magpies Jesus (knee) is on the bench for Saturday's match against Newcastle.
Impact Jesus is back with the team after missing the past four matches due to a knee issue, however, he lines up on the bench, outside of his regular starting spot as a striker. He should see the starting XI next week when they face Sheffield and will hope to start getting back to his goal-scoring ways, as Arsenal's biggest concern this season has been not having a true No. 9, with Jesus only bagging four goals in 17 Premier League contests.

Training Friday Jesus (knee) has participated in training ahead of Saturday's clash with Newcastle, according to manager Mikel Arteta."It's the same with Gabby [Jesus] as well, he's done a few thi...
Impact Jesus continues to make his way back from the knee injury, though his return seems to still be at the final hurdle despite more than a week back in training. If the striker could return it would be a major boon for the first team, as he is the preferred striking option over Leandro Trossard or Kai Havertz.
FEBRUARY 23, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Still unavailable Jesus (knee) did not travel for Wednesday's clash with Porto, according to Simon Collins of the Evening Standard.
Impact Jesus will still be sidelined for Wednesday's clash despite reportedly getting neared to a full return. The forward wasn't active in training Tuesday either, putting him in serious doubt for Saturday's Premier League clash with Newcastle United as well. Kai Havertz or Leandro Trossard are both options in the starting XI on Wednesday.
FEBRUARY 20, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Could play Saturday Jesus (knee) could be an option for Saturday's clash with Burnley, according to manager Mikel Arteta.
Impact Jesus has been slowly getting back into training and could be nearing a return for Saturday's match. Jesus wasn't specifically mentioned by Arteta, but is among those nearing a return. Kai Havertz or Leandro Trossard will continue to see more chances while Jesus is less than fully fit.
FEBRUARY 16, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Will be reassesed in lead-up Jesus (knee) will be reevaluated ahead of kickoff against Burnley on Saturday, per Arsenal Insider Charles Watts.
Impact Jesus could be in line to rejoin the squad after having been out of action for the previous two contests. In his last six outings (five starts), the forward generated two goals on 21 shots (six on target), two assists and 12 chances created. Once cleared to return, Jesus should offer top-end offensive upside.
FEBRUARY 13, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
No change in knee injury Jesus (knee) remains out for Sunday's trip to West Ham, according to manager Mikel Arteta, who offered no update on his injury.
Impact Jesus' last update was that he suffered a setback to this same knee injury and he remains on the sideline. The injury is hoped to be a minor one but still the fact it's been a recurring problem doesn't bode well for Jesus moving forward. With Jesus out Kai Havertz or Eddie Nketiah will be called upon to lead the line.

Out with knee injury Jesus was not available during Sunday's 3-1 win against Liverpool with a knee injury, per manager Mikel Arteta. Unfortunately, he had a setback in training and he wasn't fit to pla...
Impact Jesus could sit out for a few matches with a new knee injury. He has history with knee injuries in the past, but luckily looks to be that this time should be just a short term injury. He has been able to score and assist twice in the last six games played, five of them coming as starts.
FEBRUARY 4, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Scores and assists Jesus scored one goal from six shots (two on target) and provided one assist from two chances created in Tuesday's match against Nottingham Forest.
Impact Jesus had a huge impact on the game, though was fortunate to score his first goal in five as his tame shot went through Matt Turner's legs. He then threaded a neat pass through to Bukayo Saka for the second. This marks the first time the striker has registered attacking returns in consecutive games this season and he now has four goals and three assists.

Starts against Crystal Palace Jesus (knee) has made the XI to face Crystal Place on Saturday.
Impact Jesus has recovered from a minor knee problem that hampered him in the last couple of weeks and will lead the line. He has scored once and added 12 shots (four on target), seven chances created, and three tackles (two won) in the last five games.
JANUARY 20, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Game-time call for Saturday Jesus (knee) is among the doubtful players to face Crystal Palace on Saturday, manager Mikel Arteta told media during his pre-game press conference Friday.
Impact Jesus was spotted training on a stationary bike and then on the pitch Monday, and there's a chance he could return to face the Eagles on Saturday; as Arteta mentioned, there are several players who are "touch and go" for the weekend clash. If Jesus is not fit to start, then Eddie Nketiah or Leandro Trossard could play as striker.
JANUARY 19, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Pictured at training Monday Jesus (knee) was viewed training on a stationary bike ahead of Arsenal's match against Crystal Palace on Saturday.
Impact Jesus was back in training Monday after picking up a knee injury, but he was only training on a stationary bike, having yet to return to practice with the rest of the team. There is still a chance the forward will be healthy by the weekend for their match against Crystal Palace, as he still has five days to rejoin group training before the contest. However, if he is not ready by the weekend, expect Eddie Nketiah or Leandro Trossard to get the start at striker once again, most likely holding that spot until Jesus is fully healthy, as the club will not want the Brazilian to face an extended absence, already missing six games this season due to injury.
