Mateo Kovacic - Scores in Club World Cup Kovacic got the start and scored during Tuesday's 3-0 win over Urawa Red Diamonds in the Club World Cup.
Impact Kovacic was back in the starting XI for Tuesday's win, and he put his name on the scoresheet with a nice finish. It wasn't a taxing match for Kovacic but it was a good chance for him to continue building sharpness after a muscular injury proved to be an issue earlier in December.

Impact Ake was back in the starting XI for Tuesday's 3-0 win and had a solid match to earn the clean sheet. Like any Manchester City player the threat of rotation is always there for Ake, but still he's in good form of late and he started the last two Premier League matches in row.

Impact Akanji was back in the starting XI to kick off the Club World Cup and put together a solid hour on the pitch. The defender remains a consistent piece of the starting XI. Akanji's only flaw really is the same as any other Manchester City player, plenty of rotation that more often than not prevents a long string of games in the starting XI.
