Impact Nwaneri entered in the 27th minute for the medically withdrawn Konstantinos Karetsas, who was stretchered off after suffering circulatory problems during a BVB attack, and quickly made his presence felt despite the difficult circumstances surrounding his introduction. He fired six shots across his 55 minutes on the pitch, including a 44th-minute effort that was blocked and another in the 51st minute that Pape Gueye desperately deflected onto the right post with a last-ditch tackle. Nwaneri should be in line for an expanded role in the Black and Yellow attack with fellow new signings Karetsas and Giannis Konstantelias (knee) currently sidelined.
