Netherlands midfielder Donny van de Beek will miss the European Championship because of an injury

Will miss Euro 2020 Van de Beek has been ruled out for Euro 2020 by the Dutch national team because of an undisclosed injury.

Impact Van de Beek did not play in the last friendlies and has not been able to recover from an unspecified physical problem. His absence will open up minutes for their other central midfielders, Marten De Roon, Ryan Gravenberch, Davy Klaassen and Teun Koopmeiners. Frenkie de Jong and Georginio Wijnaldum were already set to have a prominent role.
