West Ham signs Danny Ings, Nottingham Forest gets Chris Wood

West Ham has completed the signing of veteran striker Danny Ings from Aston Villa

Loaned to Nottingham Forest Wood has joined Nottingham Forest on loan for the rest of the season from Newcastle with an option to make it permanent.

Impact Forest were in need of attacking help following an injury to Taiwo Awoniyi and Wood is the answer. With Alexander Isak healthy again, Wood wasn't expected to see much time for Newcastle, having played just 441 league minutes this season, and that included numerous injuries to their forwards. Wood should immediately compete for playing time with Forest, as they're in need of a striker who can score.

Impact Wood buried a kick from the 12-yard spot to open the scoring in this contest and give Newcastle all the cushion they would need.
