UEFA puts 1,700 Champions League final tickets on sale

UEFA says 1,700 tickets are going on sale for fans worldwide to attend the Champions League final between Manchester City and Chelsea on Saturday in Portugal

Cesar Azpilicueta - Gets suspension rescinded Azpilicueta had his three-man suspension rescinded following a red card in the final minutes of Sunday's finale against Aston Villa.

Impact Azpilicueta will now be eligible for the first three matches of next season, which is good news for Chelsea. Either way, he'll be ready for Saturday's Champions League final. He's played the last two matches on the right wing, while Reece James has moved to more of a central role. In that period, Azpilicueta has four chances created and nine crosses, much better than numbers he had as a center-back.

Callum Hudson-Odoi - Lacks playing time Hudson-Odoi appeared in two of Chelsea's final eight matches ahead of the Champions League final.

Impact Hudson-Odoi looked like a revelation on the wing once Thomas Tuchel came over, but his role quickly disappeared en route to one start in the final two months. He finished with almost the same numbers as a campaign ago in terms of appearances, totaling 10 starts from 23 appearances with two goals and three assists.

Olivier Giroud - Limited role to close campaign Giroud played 27 minutes in the final month of the season, 25 of them coming in the loss to Arsenal.

Impact Giroud got a couple starts under Thomas Tuchel early in his tenure, but his role quickly diminished. The Frenchman had a few sparks, namely four goals against Sevilla in Champions League, but he finished with just 17 league appearances, eight of them starts, along with eight UCL appearances (two starts) en route to 10 total goals.

Billy Gilmour - Reduced role to close season Gilmour didn't play in the final two matches of the season after going a full 90 in the win against Manchester City.

Impact Gilmour received a few starts late in the season because of the influx of matches, but he was subbed off at the break against Arsenal on May 12 and then didn't appear again. He's still young and has plenty to improve, but if he can stay healthy, it's expected he'll surpass the five league appearances he made this past season.

Marcos Alonso - Doesn't play in final three matches Alonso wasn't used in the final three league matches of the season, staying on the bench in all of them.

Impact Alonso bagged a goal in the win against Manchester City, but that wasn't enough to earn him more playing time. He received a decent amount of time early in Thomas Tuchel's tenure, but Ben Chilwell slowly won the role on the left flank. Alonso finished the season with just 13 starts across league and Champions League.

Kurt Zouma - Ends season on bench Zouma stayed on the bench for the final two league matches of the season.

Impact Zouma opened the season as a regular, but once Thiago Silva joined the team, he lost his role. He ends the league season with five goals and nine clean sheets from 24 appearances (22 starts), as well as five more starts in Champions League.

Impact Werner again had numerous chances to hit the back of the net in the finale but nothing came to fruition. He's played much better under Thomas Tuchel, but the goals are still struggling to come. He closes the league campaign with six goals and eight assists in 35 appearances (29 starts).

Impact Havertz returned from a minor hamstring tweak and appears ready to go for the Champions League final. He's in play to start against Man City, though he's swapped time with Timo Werner and Christian Pulisic under Thomas Tuchel. For the league campaign, he finished with four goals and three assists in 27 appearances (18 starts).

Impact Ziyech scored in the win against Man City and hasn't started since, making evident his role under Thomas Tuchel. Once expected to be a boon for Chelsea's attack, he's struggled for time under Thomas Tuchel. For the season, he finished with four goals and three assists across 33 appearances (18 starts) in league and UCL play.

Given his status under Tuchel, there's a chance he moves elsehwere in the summer. This season is on the heels of a 15-goal 2019/2020 performance.

Impact Silva will be ready for the Champions League final after almost a week off and he'll give Man City a different look after missing the most recent meeting. He's been a preferred center-back when healthy and not battling fatigue issues, resulting in 23 league starts.

Impact James had been a full-back or wing-back all season until the final two matches when he swapped places with Cesar Azpilicueta. He'll have upside because of a role on set pieces, but while he's completing more passes as a center-back, he's not getting in as advanced positions.
