Traded to Los Angeles Gasper has signed a four-year contract with the Galaxy after being traded from Minnesota United in exchange for $450,000 in General Allocation Money, the club announced Wednesday.

Impact Gasper made 75 appearances in all competitions during three full seasons with Minnesota United, but he missed the first few months of 2022 for personal reasons. The 26-year-old now moves to the Galaxy, where he will likely take over from Raheem Edwards as the starting left back. Minnesota, meanwhile, will likely continue with Kemar Lawrence at the position.

Back in training Gasper (personal) has returned to training with Minnesota after he voluntarily entered MLS' Substance Abuse and Behavioral Health Program back in March.

Impact Gasper missed the first month of the season while in the SABH Program, but he is back with the squad now and will be working his way back to full fitness after the time off. Bakaye Dibassy has been the first choice at left back so far for Minnesota, but Gasper will aim to break back into the lineup after starting 31 MLS matches in that position in 2021.
