Hopeful to return this season Fire manager Raphael Wicky says he's hopeful that Gutierrez (knee) will play again this season, according to SB Nation reporter Patrick McCraney.

Impact Gutierrez has already missed three games with a knee injury, and although Wicky doesn't want to rush his return, he thinks it's possible that Gutierrez will play again by November.

Misses quality chances in loss Gutierrez took two shots (two on target), created one chance, sent one cross (none accurate) and made one tackle (one won) in the 1-0 loss to Montreal on Saturday.

Impact Gutierrez took too much time in his set ups during the loss Saturday. The midfielder had a handful of chances and some with wide-open nets, but he got too cute setting up the shot giving time for defenders and the opposing keeper to make adjustments. However, he was at least consistent for his third start in as many games and he showed that he can find the weak spots in the opposing defense. Time will tell if he will become quicker when the chances come though.

Impact Gutierrez did very little in the close loss Thursday. The midfielder had just two shots to his name and he barely produced outside of them. However, he did come close to saving his bare minimum performance if not for an unlucky post hit. He has only made two appearances (one start) in the five matches for Chicago thus far and he has not shown much promise. Until he can gain form, there are better plays at the club.
