Impact Diaz started in half of all of the La Liga matches played in the 2024/25 season, maintaining a true rotational role on the attack. His performance did, however, decrease from 2023/24, with just with four goals and two assists in league play, which was about half of what he did in the campaign prior. Nonetheless, the midfielder is very versatile on the pitch, having scored from any position in the attack. He's in the third year of his contract, so it's likely that he'll maintain his rotational role under Xabi Alonso, while being one of the first players to get called upon to start if there's any injuries to their starters.
