Concedes once in victory Verbruggen made two saves and conceded once in Saturday's 3-1 win over Newcastle.

Impact Verbruggen was making his second start since signing from Anderlecht in the summer and he was denied his first clean sheet in a Brighton shirt when Callum Wilson struck in stoppage time. It remains to be seen if manager Roberto De Zerbi will stick with one goalkeeper or if he will rotate Verbruggen with Jason Steele throughout the season.

Impact Verbruggen had a rough go in his first appearance of the season, conceding three goals on seven shots. On a positive note, he managed four saves, but it was nowhere near enough to keep his side in the match. It was a rocky start for the rookie keeper, but at least his four saves provide a small foundation to build from as he progresses forward. Up next for Brighton is a meeting with Newcastle.
