Diego Coppola - Returns to Brighton from loan Coppola is returning to Brighton and Hove Albion following a loan spell at Paris FC.
Impact Coppola made 13 starts across all competitions for Paris FC last season, helping the club climb out of relegation trouble and secure its top flight status with games to spare. His performances during the loan also earned him a call up to the Italy national team in March. With his contract at Brighton running through 2030, Coppola now returns to the Amex looking to build on a productive spell in France and push for a regular role in the club's defense next season.

Maxim De Cuyper - Shows well in USA fixture De Cuyper registered three crosses (two accurate), three tackles (zero won) and two corners and created two scoring chances in Monday's 4-1 victory versus USA.
Impact De Cuyper had a good showing, like most Belgian players, in the romp and padded his stat through a few accurate set pieces, but he wasn't directly involved in any of the goals. He has uncorked multiple crosses in four straight fixtures, accumulating 11 (three accurate) and posting also four corners, five tackles (one won) and four interceptions over that span. Additionally, this marked his fifth consecutive outing with one clearance, for a total of five, and he has contributed to one clean sheet in the competition. Instead, he snapped a three-game streak with at least two shots in this one.
3 DAYS AGO • ROTOWIRE
Diego Gomez - Struggles in defeat Gomez had one shot (zero on goal) in Saturday's 1-0 loss against France.
Impact Gomez played 71 minutes in a central midfield spot against France, with his performance marked by a negative impact as he committed a penalty kick before leaving the field. Other than that, he accrued defensive numbers, extending a run of four World Cup matches with multiple tackles. Still, the tournament ended for Paraguay, and he was unable to record a goal or assist. Despite playing as a winger for Brighton during most of the 2025/26 season, Gomez found himself in a more centralized role with his national team, though that position didn't allow him to exploit his offensive qualities.
5 DAYS AGO • ROTOWIRE
Malick Yalcouye - Back in Brighton Yalcouye will return to parent club Brighton following the conclusion of his loan spell at Swansea City.
Impact Yalcouye contributed one goal and two assists across 1,022 Championship minutes for the Swans, continuing his development at senior level after winning the Austrian Bundesliga title and the Young Player of the Year award with Sturm Graz the previous season. Yalcouye, who joined Brighton in 2024 from IFK Goteborg after emerging at ASEC Mimosas, now heads back to the Amex where his future will be assessed ahead of the 2026/27 campaign.
JULY 2 • ROTOWIRE
Brajan Gruda - Heading back to Brighton Gruda will return to parent club Brighton following the conclusion of his loan spell at RB Leipzig.
Impact Gruda joined Leipzig in February after making 18 Premier League appearances for Brighton, recording one goal and one assist. He quickly found his rhythm back in the Bundesliga, tallying three goals and three assists across 755 minutes during his loan spell. After thriving once again in the league where he first broke through with Mainz, the attacking midfielder now returns to Brighton, where his role for the 2026/27 Premier League campaign will be decided in the coming weeks.
JULY 2 • ROTOWIRE
Evan Ferguson - Heads back to Brighton Ferguson will return to parent club Brighton following the conclusion of his loan spell at Roma.
Impact Ferguson contributed five goals and two assists across 22 appearances (13 starts) before a continuous injury issue required surgery, ending his season prematurely. Ferguson had undergone the procedure to address the recurring problem that had kept him sidelined since late December, and now heads back to Brighton for his recovery ahead of the 2026/27 campaign.
JULY 2 • ROTOWIRE
Eiran Cashin - Returns to Brighton Cashin will return to parent club Brighton following the conclusion of his loan spell, having spent the season split between Birmingham City and Blackburn Rovers.
Impact Cashin made 11 appearances for Birmingham before being recalled in January and sent to Blackburn, where he went on to make 18 Championship appearances, contributing one goal and one assist across 1,542 minutes. Cashin now heads back to Brighton having added another substantial loan campaign to his development, continuing to build on the experience that made him one of the standout defenders in League One during Derby County's 2023/24 promotion-winning season.
JULY 2 • ROTOWIRE
James Beadle - Back in Brighton Beadle will return to parent club Brighton following the conclusion of his loan spell at Birmingham City.
Impact Beadle made 35 Championship appearances for Birmingham, posting a save percentage of 68.5 and conceding 41 goals at a rate of 1.17 per game, establishing himself as the undisputed first choice between the posts for the club throughout the season. Beadle now heads back to Brighton having added another full Championship campaign to his experience, continuing a development pathway that has seen him gain valuable loan experience at Crewe Alexandra, Oxford United, Sheffield Wednesday and now Birmingham City.
JULY 2 • ROTOWIRE
Michael Svoboda - Transferred to Brighton Svoboda has joined Brighton from Venezia on a four-year contract, the club announced.
Impact Svoboda captained Venezia to the Serie B title this season, missing just one match after his first appearance in matchweek ten as the club lost only two more games in their title-winning run, finishing a point ahead of Frosinone. Svoboda joined Venezia in 2020 and has now won promotion from Serie B twice with the club, in 2021 and 2026. Coach Fabian Hurzeler praised his attributes and adaptability to Brighton's style of play in and out of possession, expressing his satisfaction at landing a player who attracted strong interest from several clubs this summer. Svoboda is currently representing Austria at the World Cup, where he has earned four senior caps since his debut in October 2024, and will link up with his new Brighton teammates later in the summer.
JULY 2 • ROTOWIRE
Maxim De Cuyper - Records two crosses De Cuyper had two shots (one on goal) and two crosses (zero accurate) in Wednesday's 3-2 win over Senegal.
Impact De Cuyper started Wednesday and played most of regular time, leaving the field in the 78th minute to give way for Thomas Meunier. He earned two shots and two crosses in the attack to go along with one interception, a tackle and a clearance in the defense. With three starts in four games, he will expect to start in the round of 16.
JULY 1 • ROTOWIRE
Yasin Ayari - Two crosses, zero shots during R32 Ayari logged two inaccurate crosses and one chance created during Sweden's 3-0 loss to France on Tuesday.
Impact Usually active for Sweden, Ayari playing against arguably the World Cup's most proven team Tuesday resulted in sparse opportunities. For the tournament, both of Ayari's total and accurate crosses are his tourney-lows. Like the Swedes' group-stage finale, he did not attempt a shot during their knockout game. For the tournament, his four appearances feature two goals on seven shots (three on goal), 19 crosses (five accurate), nine corners and five accurate crosses. Defensively, Ayari logged four clearances and three interceptions.
JUNE 30 • ROTOWIRE
Pascal Struijk - Completes Brighton switch Struijk has completed a transfer to Brighton from Leeds United, the club announced.
Impact Struijk got his move, but stayed in the Premier League, making the switch to Brighton. This has been long rumored as Brighton look to replace their latest big-money sale in Jan Paul van Hecke. Struijk should have an immediate chance to play big minutes with Brighton, especially after multiple excellent top flight seasons with Leeds United.
JUNE 30 • ROTOWIRE
Bart Verbruggen - Exceptional effort despite loss Verbruggen made five saves and allowed one goal in Monday's 1-1 (4-3) penalty shootout loss versus Morocco.
Impact Verbruggen was outstanding for the Dutch on Monday despite the loss and goal allowed, as the goalie would make five incredible saves, with two likely to compete for the save of the tournament. However, he would see a slight blemish during the penalty shootout, as he appeared to save a penalty that would have kept them in for a sixth round, although it would go in off his leg following the save. Verbruggen proved to have a solid World Cup after a rough opening match, as he would combine for 16 saves and five goals allowed, although he will be disappointed not to have earned a clean sheet.
JUNE 29 • ROTOWIRE
Diego Gomez - Back from ban Gomez is no longer suspended and is an option for Paraguay in the round of 16.
Impact Gomez had to serve a suspension in the round of 32 after two yellow cards in the group stage, but will return after Paraguay defeated Germany, set to face either Sweden ot France in the round of 16. This will be a major return for the team, as he started in all three group stage games and should immediately earn back his spot in the midfield, a versatile option. If this is the case, Damian Bobadilla or Matias Galarza will likely return to the bench.
JUNE 29 • ROTOWIRE
Maxim De Cuyper - Three chances created in victory De Cuyper had two shots (one on goal), three crosses (one accurate) and one corner in Friday's 5-1 win over New Zealand.
Impact De Cuyper went the distance at left-back as Belgium overwhelmed New Zealand from the opening whistle in Friday's 5-1 victory, helping the Red Devils dictate the tempo from start to finish. He provided a steady defensive presence while offering width down the left flank, playing a key role in a back line that kept New Zealand's attack quiet for most of the match. De Cuyper finished with three chances created, two shots (one on target), three crosses and two interceptions as Belgium locked up first place in Group G and punched their ticket to the Round of 32.
JUNE 27 • ROTOWIRE
Yasin Ayari - Eight crosses in 1-1 draw Ayari registered eight crosses (three accurate) and five corners in Thursday's 1-1 draw against Japan.
Impact Ayari took five corners on his way to attempting eight crosses as Sweden drew 1-1 with Japan. He completed three of these crosses to help him create three chances. In total, he has completed five of his 17 crosses throughout the tournament and created four chances. The midfielder also drew three more fouls, in order to draw six fouls across the three games, and this was the first game where he didn't foul an opposition player.
JUNE 26 • ROTOWIRE
Bart Verbruggen - Concedes once against Tunisia Verbruggen recorded three saves and gave up one goal in Thursday's 3-1 win over Tunisia.
Impact Verbruggen batted away a few shots but could do little on a very precise header by Hazem Mastouri, which found the bottom corner on a set piece. He has yet to keep a clean sheet through three games, while he has made 11 saves and surrendered four goals. Up next, the Netherlands will face Morocco on Monday in the Round of 32.
JUNE 26 • ROTOWIRE
Diego Gomez - Set for one-game suspension Gomez is set for a one-game suspension due to yellow card accumulation.
Impact Gomez is going to miss the round of 32 after Paraguay looks likely to qualify for the round of 32, with the midfielder seeing a yellow in two group stage matches and now suspended for a game. This is a major loss to the team, as he has been a major center of play in the middle of the field, leaving them without a useful midfield option. The good news for the team is that they will have Miguel Almiron available again, who should enter the starting XI again as Matias Galarza covers a central role.
JUNE 25 • ROTOWIRE
Pascal Gross - Sees World Cup minutes Gross registered one shot (zero on goal), one cross (zero accurate) and one chance created in Thursday's 2-1 defeat to Ecuador.
Impact Gross was on the field for the first time at the World Cup on Thursday, with the midfielder getting 17 minutes from the bench. He would still be around the ball quite a bit in a short time on the field, recording one shot, a chance created, one cross and two tackles won. With these his only minutes so far, he will likely remain a reserve option for the knockouts.
JUNE 25 • ROTOWIRE
Diego Gomez - Attended to during training Gomez was attended to by trainers during training Wednesday due to a knock ahead of Thursday's match against Australia, according to ABC Deportes.
Impact Gomez went down in training and would need some attention from medical staff after the blow, bringing a bit of worry around the midfielder. This is on the eve of their group stage finale, and as a starter in both group stage matches thus far, he is an important player to the team as they try to qualify for the knockouts. They will then hope for the best results and to have him available, with little further information available at this time. If he were to start from the bench or miss out, Damian Bobadilla is a possible replacement.
JUNE 24 • ROTOWIRE
Maxim De Cuyper - Attacking threat from defense De Cuyper had five shots (four on goal), three crosses (zero accurate) and one corner in Sunday's 0-0 draw against Iran.
Impact De Cuyper was Belgium's most dangerous attacking presence in Sunday's goalless draw with Iran, registering five shots (four on target) and taking one corner across 90 minutes as the left-back who consistently drove forward and arrived late into dangerous positions throughout a match his side dominated with 23 total attempts. His best moment came in the second half when he connected powerfully with Kevin De Bruyne's cutback at point-blank range, only to be denied by an outstanding reflex save from Alireza Beiranvand in what was the closest Belgium came to breaking the deadlock all match. De Cuyper's ability to combine defensive solidity with attacking production from left-back makes him one of Belgium's most important players heading into the must-win Group G finale against New Zealand, where his delivery and late arrivals into the box will be a key weapon against a side that will likely sit deeper than Iran.
JUNE 22 • ROTOWIRE
Diego Gomez - Trains in full, not injured Gomez trained fully with the Paraguay squad on Sunday, confirming his recovery from the minor knee discomfort that forced him off during the win over Turkey, the federation posted.
Impact Gomez had described the issue as nothing serious after being substituted in the 67th minute, and his return to full training removes any lingering doubt about his availability for Thursday's clash against Australia. The midfielder is now expected to retain his place in Paraguay's lineup as they look to secure their spot in the knockout rounds.
JUNE 22 • ROTOWIRE
Bart Verbruggen - Seven saves against Sweden Verbruggen made seven saves and allowed one goal in Saturday's 5-1 win versus Sweden.
Impact Verbruggen was the busiest goalkeeper on the pitch in Saturday's 5-1 win over Sweden in Houston, making seven saves across 90 minutes as Sweden generated 16 total attempts and eight on target despite being thoroughly outclassed on the scoreboard, his best stops coming when he denied Viktor Gyokeres from a free kick and then immediately kept out Yasin Ayari's powerful low drive in the same first-half sequence. The Brighton goalkeeper was beaten only by Anthony Elanga's counter-attacking finish when Alexander Isak played him through in the second half, a moment of individual quality rather than any defensive failure. With the Netherlands topping Group F and heading into the knockout rounds as one of the tournament's most complete teams, Verbruggen's ability to produce decisive saves in the moments that matter will be a key factor in how far this Dutch side can go.
JUNE 21 • ROTOWIRE
Yasin Ayari - Five shots in loss Ayari had five shots (one on goal), four crosses (one accurate) and two corners in Saturday's 5-1 loss versus Netherlands. In addition, he was given a yellow card in the 75th minut...
Impact Ayari took five shots after his goalscoring escapades in the first match of the World Cup, but he wasn't nearly as productive this time around. He couldn't get involved in good spots, and managed to put only a single shot on goal. It was a disappointing match for all involved as Ayari and co. look towards a win on matchday three to advance.
JUNE 20 • ROTOWIRE
Ferdi Kadioglu - Balanced display in defeat Kadioglu recorded one cross (zero accurate) and four chances created in Friday's 1-0 loss versus Paraguay.
Impact Kadioglu delivered a well-rounded display on both sides of the ball, contributing two tackles, one interception and one clearance defensively while remaining one of Turkey's most dangerous outlets going forward. Alongside Kenan Yildiz he led the team in chances created with four, taking his tournament tally to nine across two games. Up next is the final game against the United States, and with Turkey eliminated, it remains to be seen whether coach Vincenzo Montella will give opportunities to players who haven't had much playing time, or aim to finish in the best way possible, with Eren Elmali as possible replacement.
