Marco Asensio - Disappointing day Asensio registered four shots (three on goal), eight crosses (one accurate) and six corners in Saturday's 3-0 victory over Southampton.
Impact Asensio was perhaps the only Aston Villa player who did not have an enjoyable match against Southampton on Saturday. In 90 minutes played, the Spanish international took two penalties, and ended up missing them both. He also failed to complete any of his three dribbles and put just one of his eight crosses on target. Even if he does not start, Asensio will likely feature against Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday in the UCL, so Villa will need him to brush off Saturday's game quickly.

The Argentinian kept a clean sheet, made two saves, but two of them were diving saves and one of them came from inside his own box. Axel Disasi - Struggles as substitute Disasi generated one shot (zero on goal) and one chance created in Wednesday's 3-1 loss against Paris Saint-Germain.
Impact Disasi didn't look to be the second-half substitute Villa needed at right-back Wednesday, with the defender struggling to contain the fast attack of his former rival PSG. He would appear for 45 but only see an interception and two tackles while constantly being beat on the flank. He did start in their last contest, so this is a blow for the defender, starting in six go his 10 appearances since joining the club but only seeing the start in one of his past four outings.
