Impact Masuaku has gotten some time with the U23s and is slowly edging closer to full fitness, something he'll probably be able to do over the break. Once ready, he'll allow West Ham to move to a three-man back line, something they may not test just yet given early season results.

Working way back from knee injury Masuaku is working his way back from a knee injury and will start with the U23s on Friday, according to manager David Moyes.

Impact Masuaku was playing in the preseason, so this knee injury is something new. He missed the opener and it seems like he'll be out until the international break. It doesn't seem like a serious issue, but it could keep him from the senior team for the first few weeks of the season. Once ready to return, he'll allow West Ham to tinker their formation, as he played well at wing-back last season.
