Impact Dietz as scored his first goal for Koln in just his second start for the senior team. The forward is youth academy product with Koln who was promoted to the first team due to injuries to Mark Uth (undisclosed), Sebastian Andersson (fitness), and Steffen Tigges (ankle). It's more likely than not that Dietz falls out of the starting XI when any of those three are healthy but he has been surprisingly good in his first action for the senior team.

Impact Despite coming up through the Leipzig youth system, Martel made just one appearance for the club in the DFB-Pokal back in 2020-21. The 27-year-old is also capable of playing in central defense, and he'll want to break into the starting XI at Koln on his return to Germany -- he spent two seasons (2016-18) with Union Berlin back when they were in the second division.
