Sloane Martin is a play-by-play broadcaster for women’s basketball coverage on the Big Ten Network and is among the commentators for the network’s coverage of volleyball, softball and women’s hockey.
In addition to her role with the Big Ten Network, Martin also served as a play-by-play commentator for NBC Sports during the 2024 Paris Summer Olympics and is the radio play-by-play broadcaster for the Minnesota Lynx. Her previous work includes being a reporter for WCCO Radio in Minnesota and a contributor to The Athletic, covering the Lynx. In 2019, Martin became the first woman to have television play-by-play duties at the Minnesota State High School League boys state hockey tournament.
A California native, Martin played Division-III basketball at St. John Fisher College in Rochester, N.Y., before beginning her media career.
