Won't play Saturday
Nylander (lower body) won't be in the lineup against Philadelphia on Saturday, David Alter of The Hockey News reports.
Impact
Nylander will miss his second straight game due to a lingering injury. He also didn't play last Saturday in a 4-3 overtime win over Buffalo before temporarily returning to the fold in Tuesday's 4-3 victory over Calgary. Nylander has amassed three goals, 15 points and 14 shots on net through nine appearances this season. Once he's ready to return, he will probably play on the top line and see time on the first power-play unit.

Game-time decision for Saturday
Nylander (lower body) returned to practice Friday and will be a game-time decision Saturday in Philadelphia, Luke Fox of Sportsnet reports.

Won't play Wednesday
Nylander (undisclosed) will miss Wednesday's game against Columbus, per Mark Scheig of The Hockey Writers.
Impact
Nylander missed Saturday's 4-3 overtime win over Buffalo due to a lower-body injury. He returned for Toronto's 4-3 win over Calgary on Tuesday, supplying an assist in 18:49 of ice time, but it seems the 29-year-old will have to exit the lineup again. It hasn't been confirmed if Nylander's existing issue is the same injury that kept him out Saturday. Sammy Blais will draw into the lineup versus the Blue Jackets because of Nylander's absence.

Officially deemed game-time call
Nylander (lower body) was classified as a game-time decision ahead of Tuesday's clash with Calgary, Lance Hornby of The Toronto Sun reports.
Impact
Nylander has notched three goals and 11 helpers in eight games this season, including a pair of power-play assists. At his current pace, the 29-year-old center looks poised to top the 100-point mark for the first time in his 11-year NHL career. If Nylander can't give it a go, Sammy Blais will get the opportunity to make his season debut.

Could return Tuesday
Head coach Craig Berube said Monday that Nylander (lower body) is a "maybe" for Tuesday's game against the Flames, Luke Fox of Sportsnet reports.
Impact
Nylander sustained his lower-body injury during Friday's loss to the Sabres, and he was unavailable for Saturday's rematch against Buffalo. However, Berube said after the game that he hoped Nylander could suit up Tuesday, and he still appears to be in the mix to do so. Nylander has had a solid start to the year, recording three goals, 11 assists, three blocked shots, two hits and two PIM while averaging 19:30 of ice time.

Dealing with lower-body injury
Nylander missed Saturday's 4-3 overtime win against Buffalo because of a lower-body issue, Terry Koshan of The Toronto Sun reports.
Impact
Head coach Craig Berube is hoping to get Nylander back Tuesday versus Calgary, but the 29-year-old forward's availability hasn't been determined yet. Nylander was a game-time decision Saturday and was ultimately scratched despite participating in the pregame warmups. Nicholas Robertson served in Toronto's top six due to Nylander's absence, and he might do so again Tuesday if Nylander isn't able to return.
