Chase Priskie - Added to waiversPriskie was placed on waivers by the Capitals on Sunday, per Chris Johnston of TSN.
ImpactPriskie signed a two-way deal with Washington in the offseason after spending the 2022-23 campaign with Buffalo and Anaheim in the AHL. The 27-year-old defenseman last played in the NHL in 2021 with Florida, where he was held scoreless in four games. Priskie will start the year in a depth role with AHL Hershey, should he clear waivers.

Dylan Larkin - Pots two goals in preseason tiltLarkin contributed two goals -- including a power-play tally -- in Saturday's 5-2 win over the Capitals.
ImpactLarkin is already gelling with Alex DeBrincat, who arrived in Detroit after an offseason sign-and-trade transaction. Last season, Larkin tied personal bests based on 32 goals and 47 assists, and he showed mark improvement on the man advantage with 31 points, smashing previous career highs in that key special teams spot. With the help of DeBrincat, this could be the year that Larkin becomes a truly elite fantasy option.

Ville Husso - Snags win in preseason debutHusso set aside 15 of 16 shots en route to a 5-2 preseason win over the Capitals on Saturday.
ImpactHusso looked sharp in his preseason debut, with the only damage against him coming in the form of a Dylan Strome power-play tally. Red Wings coach Derek Lalonde said last week that Husso will manage a workload similar to what he endured last season, meaning the Finnish netminder should log between 55-58 starts. Should he need a breather at any point during the regular season, James Reimer -- whom the Wings signed in free agency -- should get the call as the No. 2 backstop.

Robby Fabbri - Avoids serious injuryFabbri's upper-body injury from Saturday's 5-2 preseason win over the Capitals is not expected to keep him out long, Ansar Khan of MLive.com reports.
ImpactFabbri has been a model for perseverance, opting to continue his career despite having to work past three ACL surgeries. "We're probably being a little cautious there," head coach Derek Lalonde said. "If he doesn't practice (Sunday), I think we'll expect him sometime early in the week to practice. I don't think it's anything long term." Last year, Fabbri managed a career-high shooting percentage (20) to go along with 16 points through 28 games before getting shut down in March.
