Jakub Vrana - Logs helper Tuesday Vrana notched an assist in Tuesday's 3-2 loss to the Blackhawks.
Impact Vrana was scratched for 10 games between Nov. 23 and Dec. 14, but he's now played in consecutive contests. Vrana and Hendrix Lapierre are essentially in competition for the last spot in the lineup, which is the third-line left wing slot. For the season, Vrana has eight points, 20 shots on net and a plus-5 rating over 18 appearances, so he shouldn't be expected to be a major fantasy contributor.

Lars Eller - Supplies helper in loss Eller notched an assist in Tuesday's 3-2 loss to the Blackhawks.
Impact Eller ended a six-game point drought with the helper. While he hasn't been big on offense since returning to the Capitals, he remains a steady third-line center for the team. His scoring rate is virtually identical to how he started the year with the Penguins. Eller has a total of 13 points through 33 contests, and he's added 47 shots on net, 27 hits, 14 blocked shots, 20 PIM and a minus-4 rating. The big difference has been in ice time -- Eller's at 13:21 per game with the Capitals compared to 16:25 per outing with the Penguins, but he's been able to sustain his offense thanks to a stronger supporting cast.

TJ Brodie - Nets game-tying goal Brodie scored a goal on two shots in Tuesday's 3-2 win over the Capitals.
Impact Brodie's third-period tied the game at 2-2. He's picked up three points over his last four games, but Brodie hasn't added extra playing time under interim head coach Anders Sorensen. Brodie remains a low-scoring option on the third pairing. He has eight points, 14 shots on net, 38 blocked shots and a minus-10 rating over 29 appearances.

Impact Mangiapane found twine midway through the first period with a wrister to notch his seventh goal of the campaign. He's struggled with consistency, however, as this was his first point in six December appearances. Due to his role as a bottom-six forward, don't expect Mangiapane to have a lot of fantasy upside in most formats, particularly when factoring in his consistency issues.

Impact Dubois didn't record a point in the 3-1 loss to the Stars on Monday, but he continued his solid stretch of play in recent weeks with another goal in the second leg of this back-to-back set. Dubois The 26-year-old center has cracked the scoresheet in all but one of his last six appearances, tallying two goals and four helpers in that span. He has been productive in his first year with the Capitals, notching 22 points (five goals, 17 helpers) in 31 games.
