Impact Lindgren and the Capitals carried a one-goal lead into the third period, but a pair of Roope Hintz goals evened the score 4-4 before Washington would eventually fall in a shootout. The 29-year-old Lindgren is now 5-2-1 with a .924 save percentage and 2.61 GAA on the season. Despite the loss, Lindgren could still work his way into a timeshare in net as Darcy Kuemper's struggled to an .877 save percentage over his last five starts.

Impact Pacioretty hasn't played since Jan. 19 because of the injury and logged just five contests in 2022-23. Even when the 35-year-old does return, it might take time for him to shake off the rust, though there's a good chance he'll get an opportunity to serve in a top-six role. Pacioretty has also excelled in recent years when healthy, contributing 78 goals and 157 points in 163 contests from 2019-20 through 2022-23.
