Anthony Mantha - Probable Saturday Mantha (ear) is likely to return Saturday versus Columbus, Tarik El-Bashir of Monumental Sports Network reports Wednesday.
Impact Mantha's injury was previously listed as upper-body, but he told Tom Gulitti of NHL.com that he ruptured his eardrum on a deflected shot last Wednesday by teammate Evgeny Kuznetsov. Mantha went about six days without hearing in that ear, but it's started to return. He also had some balance issues initially, which are behind him. If Mantha returns Saturday, then Nicolas Aube-Kubel might come out of the lineup.

Darcy Kuemper - Injured at practice Kuemper needed to be helped to the locker room after getting hit with a shot at practice Wednesday, Tom Gulitti of NHL.com reports.
Impact Kuemper had just returned from an undisclosed injury to serve as the backup versus Vegas on Tuesday and now finds himself potentially injured again. As long as it's nothing serious, Kuemper could still be available when the Caps return to action against Columbus on Saturday. If he does miss more time, Charlie Lindgren figures to take on the starting role.

Dylan Strome - Snaps scoring drought in win Strome scored a goal on three shots in Tuesday's 3-0 win over Vegas.
Impact Strome opened the scoring late in the first period, beating Logan Thompson off the rush with the eventual game-winning goal in the 3-0 win. The goal snapped a five-game scoreless streak for Strome after he tallied six goals in his previous five contests. The 26-year-old center still doesn't have an assist on the year, though he's up to seven goals through 14 games.
