Impact Schmidt is quietly on a five-game point streak (one goal, five helpers). The 34-year-old defenseman's seeing top-four minutes and time on the second power-play unit, which is certainly helping as he trends toward his best showing on offense since a 31-point campaign in 2021-22. He's at one goal, 10 points, 32 shots on net, 26 hits, 18 blocked shots and a plus-11 rating over 23 appearances this season.

Ivan Barbashev - Ends goalless drought Barbashev scored a goal in Monday's 5-1 loss to the Mammoth.

Impact Barbashev scored a goal at the 5:24 mark of the second period to reduce Utah's deficit to just one goal, but that would be all the offense the Golden Knights would muster. Barbashev has settled in nicely in his role in the lineup and has been a consistent weapon on offense for the Golden Knights, tallying nine points (five goals, four assists) in 11 outings since the beginning of November.

Impact Guenther delivered his two contributions in the first period, breaking the deadlock at the 14:54 mark with a snap shot and then assisting Logan Cooley, who scored the first of his four goals at the 16:11 mark. Guenther snapped a three-game pointless skid with this performance, and he also delivered an assist for the first time since Oct. 28. The 22-year-old has five points (four goals, one helper) in 12 appearances this month.

Impact Cooley was on a dreadful slump of just one goal and four total points over his last 11 games, but he broke out of that negative run with the best individual performance of his young career. Cooley will probably go on a strong run of production just for the confidence booster that stems from scoring four goals in a single game, but the 21-year-old playmaker has already been productive this season. Even when factoring in that 11-game slump, Cooley still has 21 points (13 goals, eight assists) in 23 outings this season.
