Jack Eichel - Out for Wednesday's clash Eichel will miss Wednesday's road game in Los Angeles, Danny Webster of the Las Vegas Review-Journal reports Tuesday.

Impact With the extended stay in Milan to pick up some golden hardware, Eichel, alongside United States teammate Noah Hanifin, won't play in Vegas' opening clash out of the Olympic break. The Golden Knights plan on having Eichel join the team for Friday's road game against Washington, where he'll likely reassume his role as the top-line center. Once he returns, the 29-year-old forward will look to continue his impressive regular season, where he has compiled 47 assists and 68 points across 50 appearances this year.

Noah Hanifin - Won't play Wednesday Hanifin will not be in the lineup against the Kings on Wednesday, Danny Webster of the Las Vegas Review-Journal reports.

Impact Hanifin was placed on the non-roster list while making his way back from the Winter Olympics. The blueliner is currently mired in a 28-game goal drought in addition to an eight-game pointless streak in the lead-up to the break. With the defenseman unavailable, the Knights recalled Dylan Coghlan from the minors.

Brayden McNabb - Removed from IR McNabb (upper body) was activated off injured reserve Tuesday, per SinBin.vegas.

Impact Following a 19-game stint on the shelf, McNabb is set to return to the lineup Wednesday in Los Angeles. The left-shot blueliner hasn't played since Dec. 31, so he could be eased back into action in his return. McNabb has logged three points, 63 hits, 98 blocked shots and a minus-5 rating over 38 appearances this season.

Brandon Saad - Removed from IR Saad (undisclosed) was activated from injured reserve Tuesday, SinBin.vegas reports.

Impact Following a 15-game absence, Saad will be an option for Wednesday's matchup against the Kings. He has chipped in two goals, five assists, 64 shots on net and 17 blocked shots across 39 appearances this season.

Dylan Coghlan - Elevated from minors Coghlan was recalled from AHL Henderson on Tuesday.

Impact Coghlan had a productive stint in the minors after being sent down Feb. 3, as he supplied four goals and six points across seven games with the Silver Knights. The 28-year-old will now return to serving as the Golden Knights' seventh defenseman. Vegas is back in action Wednesday in Los Angeles.

Kai Uchacz - Up from AHL Uchacz was recalled from AHL Henderson on Tuesday.

Impact Uchacz played in two straight games for Vegas before the Olympic break, recording one shot on goal, two blocked shots and six hits. He has seven goals and 27 points in 44 AHL appearances this season.

Tanner Laczynski - Recalled from AHL Henderson Laczynski was promoted from the minors Tuesday.

Impact Laczynski has appeared in just nine NHL games for the Knights this season in which he generated two assists, two hits and 12 shots. Bringing up Laczynski and Kai Uchacz would seem to be an indication that Colton Sissons (upper body) won't be ready to face the Kings on Wednesday -- in addition to the possibility that Jack Eichel won't have returned from the Olympics.

Ben Hemmerling - Gets two goals in AHL loss Hemmerling scored twice in AHL Henderson's 8-4 loss to San Jose on Sunday.

Impact Hemmerling has earned four goals and four helpers over his last nine contests. The 21-year-old forward is up to 13 goals, 26 points and a plus-19 rating through 42 appearances this season. He had just two points in 17 contests in the 2024-25 regular season, so he has shown noticeable improvement.

Impact The Golden Knights winger gave his squad a 3-1 lead just before the first intermission, with his tally proving to be the game-winner, before having a hand in goals by Sidney Crosby in the second period and Macklin Celebrini in the third. Stone is having a strong tournament in his first Olympics, scoring two goals and four points in three games, and he'll look to add to those totals when Canada faces the winner of a Czechia-Denmark qualifying tilt in Wednesday's quarterfinal.

Jack Eichel - Lifts USA to win over Denmark Eichel had a goal and assist in Team USA's 6-3 win Saturday over Team Denmark at the Olympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026.

Impact Denmark had scored on two of its first four shots, and Eichel was clutch with USA struggling. His goal and assist came in a 57-second span of the second period to turn a 2-1 deficit into a 3-2 lead. The Americans never trailed again. Teammate Jack Hughes raved to NHL.com about Eichel after the game: "He is a guy we look to for a lot of production. He carries a heavy burden for the Knights team, so it's the same role for him, having to come in here and produce and lead our team." Eichel has one goal and three assists in two games at the Olympics.

Akira Schmid - Poor outing vs. Canada Schmid stopped 20 of 25 shots in Switzerland's 5-1 loss to Canada in the 2026 Winter Olympics on Friday.

Impact Schmid made his first start of the Olympics after Leonardo Genoni got the nod against France, and understandably, he was busy and conceded lots of goals against the best attack in the world. It's uncertain who will get the nod for the Swiss in the group-stage finale against Czech Republic on Sunday, which also happens to be a must-win game for both countries.

Akira Schmid - Slated to face Canada Schmid is expected to start for Switzerland against Canada on Friday at the 2026 Winter Olympics, Jesse Granger of The Athletic reports Friday.

Impact Schmid is getting his first start of the tournament after Leonardo Genoni earned a 4-0 shutout victory over France on Thursday. Schmid is drawing the far tougher assignment. Canada has a stacked roster that includes Connor McDavid, Macklin Celebrini, Nathan MacKinnon and Sidney Crosby. Schmid will also be up against some of his Vegas teammates in Mark Stone, Mitch Marner and Shea Theodore. The 25-year-old Schmid has a 16-6-6 record, 2.53 GAA and .895 save percentage in 29 outings with the Golden Knights this campaign.

Jack Eichel - Two apples in Olympic opener Eichel dished out two assists and placed three shots on goal in the United States' 5-1 win over Latvia in Olympic round-robin play Thursday.

Impact Eichel was the top playmaker for the United States' power play, as he recorded each of the primary helpers on the team's two goals scored with a man advantage. His first was on Tage Thompson's goal midway through the second period before later making the pass that led to a goal for team captain Auston Matthews. Prior to Eichel receiving the keys to the Americans' power play, he recorded 27 points across his last 18 games with the Golden Knights. The 29-year-old center should see a large chunk of ice time this tournament from the United States' top six.
