Bruins host the Mammoth in a non-conference matchup

The Boston Bruins and the Utah Mammoth meet in a non-conference matchup
39 MINS AGO • Associated Press
Jake Allen - OK but not great in loss Allen made 26 saves in a 5-3 loss to Utah on Tuesday.
Impact Allen has started 1-1-0 with a 3.47 GAA and .875 save percentage. He has been OK, but not great so far, just like the entire team. Head coach Sheldon Keefe showed his frustration post-game: "The goals against, they weren't even structure-related but habit-related. Stopping the puck, don't expose good ice, don't get beat back to your net. Very fundamental things that we just have to do a better job of." Allen isn't the kind of goalie who can carry a team that struggles, so the whole squad needs to clean up its game before his fantasy value can climb.

Luke Evangelista - First two goals with new team Evangelista scored two goals in Tuesday's 5-3 loss to the Mammoth.
Impact The goals were his first as a member of the Devils; both were deflections, including one on the power play. Evangelista has two goals, one assist and nine shots in three games so far, and he could deliver a career year skating with Nico Hischier and Timo Meier. His previous best came last season in Nashville when he put up 56 points (12 goals, 44 assists, 17 power-play points) in 81 games.

Karel Vejmelka - Strong start to season Vejmelka made 30 saves in a 5-3 win over the Devils on Tuesday.
Impact He has started three of Utah's first four games, going 2-1-0 with one shutout, a 2.02 GAA and .913 save percentage. Vejmelka finished second in the NHL last season with 38 wins in 63 starts, and he is poised to carry a similarly heavy workload this year. His fantasy value will skyrocket if he can maintain the kind of ratios he's delivering so far. Last year, he finished with a 2.75 GAA and .897 save percentage.

MacKenzie Weegar - First goal of season Weegar scored a goal, picked up six PIM and blocked six shots in Tuesday's 5-3 win over the Devils.
Impact The goal was his first of the year. Weegar is looking for redemption this season after tallying just 28 points, including four goals, in 60 games last season. He did have 175 blocks in 2025-26, and he's already delivered in that category -- Weegar has 16 in four games this season. Mikhail Sergachev left Tuesday's game with an undisclosed injury, and Weegar may be called on to pick up the slack if the absence is prolonged.

Vincent Trocheck - First goal with new team Trocheck scored a goal in Tuesday's 5-3 win over the Devils. He also delivered two hits.
Impact It was Trocheck's first goal with the Mammoth after being traded from the Rangers on July 1. He has 13 hits in four games, including two on Tuesday. Trocheck may not be lighting up the scoreboard like linemates Clayton Keller and Nick Schmaltz are right now, but their influence will rub off on him soon enough.

Clayton Keller - Season-long point streak Keller had a goal and an assist in a 5-3 win over the Devils on Tuesday.
Impact With the points, Keller extended his season-opening point streak to four games (one goal, six assists). Five of the seven points, including Tuesday's goal, have come with the man advantage. Keller is coming off an 88-point campaign in 2025-26, with 225 shots, 27 power-play points and a plus-21 rating, and he has put up at least 86 points in three of his last four seasons. He has also delivered at least 218 blocks in his last four campaigns. Keller is as much a fantasy lock as anyone right now. His first century mark could come this season.
