Jack McBain - Plates pair of helpers Thursday McBain supplied two assists and recorded three hits in Thursday's 5-4 loss to the Hurricanes.

Impact McBain dished out the primary helper on a goal scored by each of his linemates Thursday, Kailer Yamamoto and Michael Carcone. With the pair of apples, McBain is up to 13 assists, 19 points, 78 shots on net, 186 hits and 37 blocked shots through 54 games this season. Over his last 11 games, the 26-year-old forward has been hot with nine points, a plus-10 rating, 22 shots on net and 38 hits. While his overall offensive numbers don't stand out, McBain is a decent streaming option in deep fantasy leagues that value banger stats, as he's a near shoo-in for his fourth consecutive season north of 200 hits.

Impact Carcone's multi-point night started with a secondary helper on Kailer Yamamoto's second goal before later scoring himself seven minutes into the third period. Overall, the 29-year-old Carcone is up to 11 goals, 10 assists, 104 shots on net and 88 hits across 52 games this season. While his numbers haven't jumped off the page this season, he's compiled a solid run of play with five goals, eight points, 26 shots on net and 21 hits across his last 13 games. He's featured on Utah's second power-play unit and is also on pace for a new career high in points if he can surpass the 29 he totaled across 74 regular-season games during the 2023-24 campaign. If Carcone can remain a secondary contributor from the Mammoth's middle six, he holds sneaky value in deep fantasy leagues.

Impact After Carolina's Shayne Gostisbehere scored late in the third period to tie the game at two apiece, Peterka responded within 19 seconds with a goal of his own to help the Mammoth take the lead back. Overall, the 24-year-old winger is up to 19 goals, 35 points and 108 shots on net across 54 games this season. Over his last eight games, he's been a relatively steady goal scorer with four twine finders to go with an assist and 13 shots on net. Impact Yamamoto found the back of the net twice in a four-minute span near the start of the second period to give Carolina a 2-1 lead. He later recorded a helper on Michael Carcone's goal to secure the three-point performance. Overall, the 27-year-old Yamamoto is up to seven goals, seven assists, 29 shots on net and 18 hits across 32 games this season. The three-point effort was the third of his 10-year NHL career and the second multi-point game across his last four appearances. While Yamamoto has been a healthy scratch for periods of time this season, performances such as Thursday's could make him a regular contributor in Utah's bottom-six, which would boost his ceiling in fantasy.

With the loss, the 29-year-old netminder now has a 25-13-2 record, a 2.62 GAA and a .900 save percentage through 40 appearances this season.
