Philip Tomasino - Returns to lineup Saturday Tomasino returned from a three-game stint as a healthy scratch in Saturday's 3-2 overtime win against the Maple Leafs.

Impact Tomasino was held scoreless during the contest and saw just 7:55 of ice time, spending most of his time on the fourth line with Juuso Parssinen and Liam Foudy. Given his marginal role in the Preds' lineup, Tomasino doesn't warrant much fantasy attention at the present time.

Yakov Trenin - Still searching for first point Trenin was held pointless for the eighth straight game in Saturday's 3-2 overtime win against the Maple Leafs.

Impact This should not come as a surprise to fantasy managers. With just 24 points in each of his past two seasons, Trenin typically disappears for long stretches without cracking the scoresheet. He's currently skating in a bottom-six role on the Preds' third line alongside Colton Sissons and Cole Smith, where opportunities to contribute offensively are not very plentiful.

Filip Forsberg - Bags pair of PP helpers Saturday Forsberg notched two power-play assists in Saturday's 3-2 overtime win over the Maple Leafs.

Impact Forsberg's been a bit streaky this year, but he still has seven points in eight games thus far, with three multi-point games under his belt. Thus, fantasy managers shouldn't fret if he goes a few games without any points, as they tend to come in bunches. He's still seeing a ton of ice time, averaging 19:29 per game, the highest TOI of his career. As long as he remains healthy, he deserves to be in your fantasy lineup whenever possible.

Roman Josi - Pots OT winner Saturday Josi scored the game-winning goal and added an assist in Saturday's 3-2 overtime victory over the Maple Leafs.

Impact Josi finally notched his first goal of the season after taking a drop pass from Luke Evangelista just inside the Leafs' blue line and firing a wrist shot past Ilya Samsonov for the game-winner. The stud blueliner now has a goal and four assists in eight games this season, and Josi should be in your fantasy lineup at every opportunity.

Auston Matthews - Showing off playmaking Matthews had an assist in Saturday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Predators.

Impact He delivered a sweet dish to William Nylander on the power play. Matthews added four shots, and his 10 points (seven goals, three assists) have him sitting third in team scoring.

William Nylander - Sets Leafs' franchise mark Nylander scored a power-play goal in a 3-2 overtime loss to the Predators on Saturday.

Impact He put the Buds up 1-0 at 13:32 of the first period with a power-play goal on a one-timer off a feed from Auston Matthews. Nylander has 12 points, including six goals, on his eight-game point streak. He's the fourth player in Maple Leafs history to begin the season with an eight-game point streak, joining Frank Mahovlich, Lanny McDonald and John Anderson.

Ilya Samsonov - Starting to improve Samsonov made 21 saves in a 3-2 overtime loss to Nashville on Saturday.

Impact Samsonov has struggled so far, and at times, he looked to be squeezing his stick too hard. The first goal he surrendered was a touch weak -- Ryan O'Reilly slid a puck under his pad on the power play. But then he buckled down and made a bunch of great stops prior to losing the game in overtime. Still, Samsonov is in need of a confidence boost, as he is losing ground to Joseph Woll in Toronto's early-season goalie competition. Samsonov should settle into a roll soon, but there will be ups and downs for fantasy managers along the way.
