William Nylander - Moves to IR Nylander (lower body) was placed on injured reserve Monday.

Impact The Maple Leafs recalled Marshall Rifai from AHL Toronto in a corresponding move. Nylander has missed the last four games, and the move to IR is retroactive to Dec. 27, but it's still unclear when he will be ready to return to the lineup. He has amassed 14 goals and a team-leading 41 points in 33 appearances this season.

Marshall Rifai - Called up from minors Rifai was recalled from AHL Toronto on Monday.

Impact Rifai's promotion comes as Jake McCabe suffered an undisclosed injury against the Islanders on Saturday. Still, even if McCabe does miss time, the 27-year-old Rifai is far from a lock to step into the lineup, as he'll need to edge out the likes of Philippe Myers for playing time.

Miroslav Holinka - Four points in Sunday's win Holinka scored twice and added two assists in WHL Edmonton's 5-3 win over Seattle on Sunday.

Impact Holinka has nine goals and seven assists during his active eight-game point streak. The Maple Leafs prospect is having an excellent second WHL season, earning 23 goals and 54 points through 34 appearances so far. A fifth-round pick from 2024, Holinka's stock has risen quickly as he's rewarded Toronto's faith for the entry-level deal they gave him back in July of 2025.

Joseph Woll - Loses in overtime Woll made 21 saves in a 4-3 overtime loss to the Islanders on Saturday.

Impact The Leafs sat back in the third and let the Isles tie the game and force overtime. Matthew Schaefer ultimately beat him in OT. Woll has allowed four goals in each of his last two games, including a mercy pull on New Year's Day against the Jets. But since his return from injury in mid-December, Woll is 4-1-1 in seven starts, and the Leafs are starting to claw their way back to a postseason berth.
