INJURIES

Making trip with team Jeannot (lower body) will travel with the Lightning for their four-game road trip but won't be an option at first, Chris Krenn of the Lightning's official site reports Monday.
Impact Jeannot figures to sit out the Bolts' back-to-back before being in the mix for a spot in the lineup. Before his nine-game stint on injured reserve, the 26-year-old forward was stuck in a rut with a 14-game goal drought during which he registered just 14 shots to go with two helpers. Once cleared to play, Jeannot figures to replace Alex Barre-Boulet or Mitchell Chaffee for a spot in the lineup.

Shifted to IR Jeannot (lower body) was placed on injured reserve Friday, Erik Erlendsson of LightningInsider.com reports.
Impact Jeannot's designation for IR comes as Erik Cernak (upper body) was injured against New Jersey on Thursday. With the available roster spot from Jeannot, the Lightning recalled Max Crozier from the minors, though it is Philippe Myers who is more likely to slot into the lineup versus Anaheim on Saturday.
JANUARY 12, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Facing extended absence Jeannot (lower body) didn't practice Monday and could be facing a week-to-week absence, according to Chris Krenn of the Lightning's official site.
Impact Jeannot, who was injured in Saturday's 7-3 loss to Boston, is still being evaluated to determine an exact timeline for his return. He has produced six goals, 12 points, 61 PIM, 52 shots on net and 132 hits in 41 games this season. Alex Barre-Boulet is projected to play on third line and work on the second power-play unit in Tuesday's contest against the Kings.
JANUARY 8, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Can't finish contest Jeannot sustained an upper-body injury in the second period of Saturday's game versus the Bruins, Chris Krenn of the Lightning's official site reports.
Impact Jeannot was injured on a hit behind the net from Trent Frederic. There was no update on Jeannot's status after the contest, so it's unclear if he'll be able to play Tuesday versus the Kings. Austin Watson or Alex Barre-Boulet could rejoin the lineup if Jeannot misses time.
JANUARY 7, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Hit machine continues Jeannot has 18 hits and one assist in his last seven games.
Impact Jeannot is skating as the Bolts third-line pivot, and his abrasiveness is keeping opponents generally honest. He has 12 points in 32 games so far, which is a 27-point campaign if he keeps going at his current pace. Jeannot may never replicate his outstanding scoring from his rookie season (24 goals, 41 points). But he should come close to his muscle points from that year (130 PIM, 318 hits). There's room for that in specialty leagues.
DECEMBER 29, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Nabs helper Saturday Jeannot posted an assist, three hits and four PIM in Saturday's 4-3 overtime win over the Kraken.
Impact Jeannot helped out on an Anthony Cirelli goal in the first period. The 26-year-old Jeannot hadn't recorded an assist since Nov. 9, picking up four goals over 14 games in that span. The winger is up to 11 points, 39 shots on net, 52 PIM, 101 hits and a minus-7 rating through 29 contests. He's on track for a better scoring season than his 18-point effort in 2022-23, which adds a little more value to his agitator style.
DECEMBER 10, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Sandpaper man gets goal Jeannot scored a goal Saturday in a 6-4 win over the Oilers.
Impact It was a sharp one-timer early in the third off a pass from Michael Eyssimont. It was Jeannot's first goal in nine games and his third of the season. He has found it hard to replicate his rookie success (41 points, including 24 goals, in 81 games; 2021-22), but it's important to note that his shooting percentage is at 11.1. That's a huge improvement from his 5.6 (combined) from last season. Jeannot isn't a high-end scorer, but there's fantasy value in a sandpaper guy who's on pace for 30 points, 130 PIM and 330 hits.
NOVEMBER 19, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Gets two points vs. Seattle Jeannot collected a goal and an assist in a 4-3 overtime loss to Seattle on Monday.
Impact Jeannot snapped his four-game scoring drought. Despite that slump, he's off to a solid start, providing two goals and five points through nine outings. The 26-year-old's first full NHL campaign in 2021-22 went well -- he scored 24 goals and 41 points in 81 outings -- but dropped to six goals and 18 points in 76 contests last year. His offensive output this season might be somewhere in between those two campaigns, but he should be a good source of hits this year -- he's already at 25 after finishing 2022-23 with 290.
OCTOBER 31, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Records two-point night in loss Jeannot scored his first goal of the season with an assist in Sunday's 5-2 loss against the Senators.
Impact Jeannot chipped in with secondary helper on Anthony Cirelli's goal to make it 1-1. After the Lightning fell behind 2-1, Jeannot took matters into his own hands with the goal at 13:00 of the second period. He ended up with a plus-1 rating, four hits and a minor penalty. He'll look to carry the momentum into Tuesday's game in Buffalo.
OCTOBER 16, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Set for camp Jeannot (ankle) will be ready for the beginning of training camp, Chris Krenn of the Lightning's official site reports.
Impact Jeannot sat out Tampa Bay's final two postseason contests during the first round against Toronto due to a high-ankle sprain. In 76 regular-season appearances between the Lightning and Predators last campaign, he posted six goals, 18 points, 107 PIM and 290 hits. Jeannot will be in the mix for a middle-six role with Tampa Bay going into the 2023-24 season.

Inks two-year contract Jeannot (ankle) signed a two-year, $5.33 million contract with Tampa Bay on Saturday.
Impact Jeannot, who missed the Lightning's final two playoff outings due to the ankle injury, was a restricted free agent after completing his two-year, $1.6 million contract. Tampa Bay acquired him from Nashville on Feb. 26 in exchange for Cal Foote, a 2025 first-round pick, a 2024 second rounder, and the Lightning's third, fourth and fifth-round selections in the 2023 NHL Draft. After recording 24 goals and 41 points in 81 outings in 2021-22, the 26-year-old forward dropped to six goals and 18 points in 76 contests between Nashville and Tampa Bay last season. Jeannot also accumulated 107 PIM, 290 hits and 62 blocks during the 2022-23 campaign.
JULY 15, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Out Saturday Jeannot (undisclosed) isn't available for Game 6 against Toronto on Saturday, per Chris Krenn of the Lightning's official site.
Impact Jeannot is set to miss his second straight contest. He has no points, three shots, a minus-2 rating, five PIM and 16 hits in three playoff outings this year. When Jeannot's healthy enough to return, he'll likely serve in a bottom-six capacity.
APRIL 29, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Won't play Thursday Jeannot (undisclosed) will miss Thursday's game against Toronto, Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reports.
Impact Jeannot has no points, a minus-2 rating, 16 hits and two blocks in three playoff outings this year. He missed four straight contests from April 8-18 because of a lower-body injury, but it's not clear if he's dealing with the same issue now or if this is a new problem. Mikey Eyssimont (upper body) will draw back into the lineup Thursday after missing three straight games.

Set to face Maple Leafs Jeannot (lower body) is good to play in Game 2 against Toronto on Thursday, Chris Krenn of the Lightning's official site reports.
Impact Jeannot missed Tampa Bay's previous four contests due to the injury. He had six goals, 18 points, 107 PIM, 290 hits and 62 blocks in 76 appearances during the regular season. Jeannot is projected to play alongside Pierre-Edouard Bellemare and Corey Perry in his return.
APRIL 20, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Could play Thursday Coach Jon Cooper said there's an indication that Jeannot (lower body) will play Thursday against the Maple Leafs, Mike Stephens of SI Now reports.
Impact Jeannot was injured April 6 versus the Islanders and has missed the last four games. The bottom-six forward will provide the Lightning with toughness, but not a lot of scoring, as he managed only a goal and three assists in 20 games after his trade from Nashville.
APRIL 20, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Fights in first game back Jeannot (lower body) returned to action Thursday and delivered one hit and a fighting major in a 7-2 loss to the Maple Leafs.
Impact Jeannot had missed four games. He did what he could to help inspire his team, but it clearly wasn't enough. Jeannot has struggled to find his fit in Tampa Bay, but his aggressive style is well-suited to postseason hockey.
APRIL 20, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Upgraded to day-to-day Jeannot (lower body) won't play in Game 1 against the Leafs on Tuesday but is now considered day-to-day, Gabby Shirley of Bally Sports Florida reports.
Impact While Jeannot won't be available Tuesday, it appears he could be back in time to suit up for Game 2 on Thursday. Prior to his three-game absence, the winger managed just one point in his previous 15 contests during which he registered 19 shots, 63 hits and nine blocks. Given his offensive limitations, even once cleared to play, Jeannot probably shouldn't be considered more than a mid-range fantasy option.
APRIL 17, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Will miss start of playoffs Jeannot (lower body) will be unavailable for the start of the Stanley Cup Playoffs, Corey Long of NHL.com reports.
Impact Jeannot was injured in Thursday's 6-1 loss to the Islanders. The Lightning hope he will be ready to return at some point during the first round of the playoffs. Mikey Eyssimont is expected to replace him in the lineup.
APRIL 10, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Undergoing further evaluation Jeannot (leg) won't play Saturday and will return to Tampa Bay to undergo further testing.
Impact Jeannot suffered the injury in Thursday's loss to the Islanders. Coach Jon Cooper had already described it as "worrisome" and it appears unlikely that Jeannot will return in the regular season. Jeannot has a goal and three assists in 20 games since he was acquired from Nashville at the trade deadline. Overall, he has 18 points (six goals, 12 assists) in 76 games between the Lightning and the Predators.
APRIL 8, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Injury deemed worrisome Head coach Jon Cooper described Jeannot's leg injury as worrisome, Eduardo A. Encina of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Impact Cooper didn't elaborate much on Jeannot's status, but the "worrisome" label suggests the winger will miss time. He'll likely be evaluated further going forward, at which point a timeline could be established.
