Conor Sheary - Waived Wednesday Sheary was waived by Tampa Bay on Wednesday, per Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet.
Impact Sheary dressed in three of the Lightning's opening six games, recording no points or shots while averaging 11:01 of ice time across those three appearances. If he goes unclaimed -- which seems likely given his $2 million annual cap hit through 2025-26 -- he will probably be reassigned to AHL Syracuse.

Conor Geekie - Earns first career assist Geekie logged an assist and went plus-3 in Tuesday's 8-5 win over the Devils.
Impact It took Geekie six games to earn his first career point, which was a primary helper on the second of Brandon Hagel's three goals in the second period. Geekie has added three shots on net, six hits, four PIM and an even plus-minus rating so far. The 20-year-old forward has held down a middle-six role, and while dynasty managers will want to hold onto him, he's yet to do enough to be a factor in redraft formats.

Brayden Point - Strikes on power play again Point scored a power-play goal on two shots in Tuesday's 8-5 win over the Devils.
Impact Point has scored on the power play in back-to-back games. The star center is up to four tallies, two assists, 12 shots on net and a plus-5 rating through six appearances. With Jake Guentzel and Nikita Kucherov flanking him on the top line, Point is a consistent and reliable source of offense in fantasy.

Jonas Johansson - Nets first win of season Johansson made 30 saves in an 8-5 win over New Jersey on Tuesday.
Impact Johansson had made his season debut Monday after relieving starter Andrei Vasilevskiy, and Tuesday was a scheduled start in a back-to-back situation. He didn't really impress, but it's hard to lose when your mates gift you eight goals. Johansson is not likely to see much action this season, other than in back-to-backs. He'll win as long as the Bolts continue to paint goals on the board, but his ratios may leave a bad taste. Last year, Johansson played a lot early in the season and had a 12-7-5 record overall. But his ratios had an odor all season long.

Janis Moser - Another three-point game Moser had a goal and two assists in an 8-5 victory over the Devils on Tuesday.
Impact The goal was one of those couldn't-repeat-it-if-you-tried types. Moser scored a shorthanded goal from his own zone on a clearing attempt that deflected in off the boards after Jake Allen went to play the puck behind his net. Moser has six points (two goals, four assists) in six games this season, but his points have come in two contests. Points are points, though, so maybe he should simply buy a lotto ticket.

Nikita Kucherov - Season scoring streak at six games Kucherov had an assist in Tuesday's 8-5 win over the Devils.
Impact It extended his season-opening point streak to six games (seven goals, four assists). Kucherov is already in MVP form with seven goals and five assists in six games played. Expect his pace to slow some and especially his goal rate. Kucherov already has 29 shots, which puts him within reach of a 400-shot season, but his shooting percentage is a whopping 24.1. That's well above his career mark of 14.6. Still, this could be Kucherov's Hart season.

Victor Hedman - Big goals deliver win Hedman scored twice Tuesday in an 8-5 win over the Devils.
Impact Hedman's goals book-ended Brandon Hagel's natural hat trick in the second. He tied the game 2-2 at 7:34 of the second period on a wrist shot from low in the left circle. Hedman then scored his second of the game on a slap shot from the point to push the score to 6-2. It stood as the winner. He's already at eight points (two goals, six helpers), and he's on track to equal the kind of near point-per-game output he delivered in 2023-24 and 2022-23.

Jake Guentzel - Mr. Consistency gets two points Guentzel scored a goal and added an assist in an 8-5 win over New Jersey on Tuesday.
Impact He also had a game-high nine shots. Guentzel has been held off the scoresheet just once in six games so far, and he has two goals and five assists in that span. His nine shots Tuesday equaled the number he put up in his previous four games combined. Guetnzel has been a point-per-game (1.06) player since 2019-20 (314 games), and will deliver that kind of total this season.

Anthony Cirelli - Four apples keep Devils away Cirelli had four assists in an 8-5 win over the Devils on Tuesday.
Impact One came on the man advantage in the first period when Cirelli joined the top dogs on PP1. His other came in the second period when he set up Brandon Hagel's natural hat trick. Cirelli sure made the most out of his 13:07 ice time Tuesday. His eight points (one goal, seven assists) overall in six games this season put him in a three-way tie with Victor Hedman and Brandon Hagel for second in team scoring. Yes, Cirelli is ahead of Jake Guetzel (seven points) and Brayden Point (six points)... for now.

Brandon Hagel - Four-point game includes hat trick Hagel scored a natural hat trick in the second period of Tuesday's 8-5 victory over New Jersey. He also had an assist in the same frame.
Impact It was Hagel's third NHL hat trick, two of which have come against the Devils, and he did all of his damage Tuesday in a 6:26 span. He put the Bolts up 3-2 at the 9:27 mark, and then scored off the rush at 13:01. He stuffed in a rebound at 15:53. Hagel has eight points, including five goals, in his last five games, and he's put up 13 shots and a plus-7 rating in that span. He, Anthony Cirelli and Conor Geekie have demonstrated remarkable chemistry so far this season, and a 60-point season is within reach. Maybe more.
