No hurled octopus was going to rattle Rask's game.

Boston Bruins goaltender Tuukka Rask was listening to the national anthem at Joe Louis Arena before Tuesday’s Game 3 when an octopus was tossed onto the ice and nearly hit him.

Throwing an octopus onto the rink before the first period begins is a tradition that goes back more than five decades in Detroit.

Perhaps a Red Wings fan was trying to rattle the Bruins netminder.

But Rask hardly flinched at this flying cephalopod, much less anything else the Red Wings hurled his way.

Rask, who entered the game leading the playoffs with a stellar 1.02 goals against average and a .966 save percentage, finished with a 23-save shutout in Boston’s 3-0 win over Detroit
