Teddy Mutryn - Two of each in QMJHL win Mutryn scored twice and added two assists in QMJHL Moncton's 8-1 win over Val-d'Or in Game 1 on Friday.

Impact Mutryn has three multi-point efforts over five playoff contests so far. He's racked up four goals, six assists and a plus-12 rating this postseason, following a 31-goal, 68-point effort in 54 regular-season outings. Mutryn is on a good team for a deep playoff run, which should keep the Sharks prospect playing for a few more weeks.

Shakir Mukhamadullin - Nets lone goal in loss Mukhamadullin scored a goal on two shots and blocked two shots in Thursday's 6-1 loss to the Ducks.

Impact Mukhamadullin broke up Lukas Dostal's shutout bid at 12:40 of the third period. The tally ended a seven-game point drought for Mukhamadullin, who has played regularly in that stretch, though he was a healthy scratch Wednesday against the Oilers. The 24-year-old defenseman is at five goals, 12 points, 46 shots on net, 60 blocked shots, 29 hits and a minus-3 rating over 46 appearances this season. He's still adjusting to the NHL, but he should be in position to challenge for a full-time job in 2026-27.

Yaroslav Askarov - Stumbles again Thursday Askarov allowed six goals on 30 shots in Thursday's 6-1 loss to the Ducks.

Impact Askarov gave up the first hat trick of John Carlson's career in this contest. This was a second straight loss for Askarov, who has allowed 11 goals on 63 shots over those games. The 23-year-old's goaltending simply hasn't been good enough lately to keep the Sharks competitive in the playoff race -- they're now four points back of the Kings for the second wild-card spot, with two teams in between. Askarov is now down to 21-19-3 with a 3.62 GAA and an .883 save percentage across 45 starts. The Sharks will be in must-win mode versus the Canucks on Saturday, and that makes it unclear if Askarov will be the one trusted to take care of the easy matchup.
