Impact Honzek practiced for the first time Friday since he was injured versus Winnipeg on Nov. 15, a span of 52 games. The 21-year-old ends the season with two goals, four points and 35 hits over 18 games with the Flames. He is expected to be fully recovered in time for training camp in September.

Impact Honzek's return to practice doesn't mean he will immediately jump back into the lineup against the Canucks on Saturday but it is certainly a step in the right direction. Prior to getting hurt, the 21-year-old winger was offering decent production with two goals, two assists and 22 shots in 18 outings. Whenever the Slovak does get back into the lineup, he should be in the mix for a middle-six role with the club.

Impact Honzek sustained an upper-body injury last weekend and landed on injured reserve. He was initially considered week-to-week, but he could be forced to miss the remainder of the regular season following his procedure. The 21-year-old made 18 appearances prior to sustaining his injury, recording two goals, two assists, 35 hits, six blocked shots and two PIM while averaging 12:21 of ice time.
