Impact Anas will need to quarantine once he arrives in St. Louis, so he'll likely need to sit out for at least a week. While the 27-year-old has yet to make his NHL debut, he's been outstanding at the AHL level in his career. Anas generated 20 goals and 50 assists across 63 games with AHL Iowa last year, and he added seven assists over five games this season.

Goes to waiver wire Anas was waived by the Blues on Monday, Jeremy Rutherford of The Athletic reports.

Impact Anas has spent all four years since college in the minors, accruing 72 goals and 125 assists in that stretch. The 27-year-old likely won't see any NHL work again this year due to the Blues' depth at forward, meaning he'll be assigned to AHL Utica once he clears waivers.

Impact Considering Anas was the leading point producer in the AHL this past season (70 points in 63 games), it shouldn't be a surprise to see him joining the team for camp. The Maryland native could be in the mix for a spot in the lineup when Minnesota faces off with Vancouver, especially if the coaching staff believes he can provide more depth scoring than the likes of Ryan Donato. In addition to Anas, the team will add forwards Gerald Mayhew, Kyle Rau, J.T. Brown, Luke Johnson and Nico Sturm, defensemen Calen Addison, Louis Belpedio, Matt Bartkowski and Brennan Menell and goalies Kaapo Kahkonen and Matt Robson.
