Along the way, the gritty winger notched 30 goals and 37 assists, adding four points in 11 postseason contests. At 32 years of age, this likely will close the door on Grimadli's NHL future.

Impact Grimaldi generated 36 goals and 73 points in 72 games with AHL Chicago during the 2023-24 regular season. He may have to settle for a minor-league contract to play in North America this campaign.

In camp on tryout Grimaldi signed a professional tryout agreement with Carolina, Walt Ruff of the Hurricanes' official site reports Tuesday.

Impact Grimaldi hasn't made an NHL appearance since the 2021-22 campaign when he logged seven games for the Predators. Still, the veteran winger impressed with AHL Chicago last year, tallying 36 goals and 37 assists in 72 outings with the Wolves. If he can show even glimpses of that scoring touch during camp, Grimaldi should have a decent shot at earning at least a two-way deal from Carolina.
