Tallies game-winner in overtime
Byfield scored a goal on two shots in Saturday's 3-2 overtime win over the Flyers.
Impact
Byfield ended a five-game point drought at a good time, cashing in on an Adrian Kempe feed 2:48 into the extra session. The 23-year-old Byfield has struggled with consistency this season, with his tally Saturday being just his 10th goal and third game-winner. He's at 29 points, 109 shots on net, 37 hits, 28 blocked shots and a minus-4 rating over 52 appearances.

Pots goal in shootout loss
Byfield scored a goal on four shots in Friday's 3-2 shootout loss to the Ducks.
Impact
Byfield has four goals and three assists over nine outings in January. The 23-year-old center is up to nine goals, 28 points, 103 shots on net, 32 hits, 25 blocked shots, 22 PIM and an even plus-minus rating through 46 appearances. Byfield continues to handle top-six minutes and should be able to improve his scoring numbers, as he's shooting just 8.7 percent so far in 2025-26.

Scores another goal Monday
Byfield scored a power-play goal on four shots while also blocking a shot during Monday's 3-1 loss to Dallas.
Impact
Byfield has been on a hot streak early in the calendar year, as he's generated points in five of his last six appearances, while Monday's goal was his second in the last three games. The 23-year-old will have to have a solid second half of the season if he hopes to reach the 20-goal threshold for a third consecutive year, as he's now up to eight through 44 appearances during the 2025-26 campaign. However, Byfield remains heavily involved on the power play, and he's already matched his 2024-25 total of three tallies with the man advantage.

Scores in loss
Byfield scored a goal on three shots in Friday's 5-1 loss to the Jets.
Impact
Byfield prevented an Eric Comrie shutout midway through the second period, but the Kings weren't able to build on his goal. With three goals and three helpers over the last seven contests, Byfield has dug his way out of a December slump. He's now at seven goals, 25 points, 93 shots on net, 30 hits, 24 blocked shots and 20 PIM through 42 appearances in a top-six role this season.

Earns two points in shootout win
Byfield scored a goal on four shots, dished a power-play assist, added four PIM and blocked three shots in Saturday's 5-4 shootout win over the Wild.
Impact
This was Byfield's second multi-point effort in the last four games. He had gone 17 games without a goal between Nov. 15 and Dec. 23, logging just three assists in that span, but it looks like he's getting his offense turned around. The 23-year-old center is at six goals, 23 points, 87 shots on net, 30 hits, 21 blocked shots and a minus-2 rating over 39 appearances this season, mainly in a top-six role.

Scores PP goal Saturday
Byfield scored a power-play goal in Saturday's 6-1 win over the Ducks.
Impact
Byfield made it 4-0 for the Kings with a tip-in late in the first period while the Kings were on the power play. The 23-year-old playmaker has five goals and 15 assists across 35 games this season, and he's proving to be a valuable asset as a streaming option in most formats. He has just five goals this season, but he's on a low pace after he scored at least 20 goals in the previous two campaigns.
