ImpactToninato, who hasn't played since Jan. 27, should get some playing time with AHL Manitoba if he doesn't get claimed by another team. Nino Niederreiter - Scores game-winnerNiederreiter scored his 13th goal of the season in Saturday's 2-1 win over the Penguins.
ImpactHolding a 1-0 lead late in the first period, the Jets controlled the puck in Pittsburgh's end until Nate Schmidt directed a slap shot at the net that bounced off the boards right onto Niederreiter's stick. He used the puck luck to backhand the rebound past Tristan Jarry for his 13th of the year that ended up being the game winner for Winnipeg. Niederreiter has been cold as of late, not scoring in his five prior games and generating only two points in his past 11. The Sharks visit Winnipeg this Wednesday.

Mark Scheifele - Opens scoringScheifele scored once on three shots in Saturday's 2-1 win over the Penguins.
ImpactThe Penguins were pressuring the Jets in their own end until Nikolaj Ehlers picked off a Jake Guentzel cross-ice pass to start a two-on-one rush the other way that Scheifele finished with a punishing slap shot. It was one of three shots on net by the 30-year old center in 18:34 TOI. Scheifele has now scored in back-to-back games since returning from a lower body injury that kept him out of the lineup since Jan 11. The Jets face the Sharks at home Wednesday.

Bryan Rust - Lights lamp in lossRust found the back of the net in a 2-1 loss to Winnipeg on Saturday.
ImpactWith Connor Hellebuyck producing another stellar game between the pipes, the Penguins kept coming at the tender and was eventually solved by Rust. He skated across the vision of Hellebuyck and tipped an Erik Karlsson shot from the point that ended up top shelf. Rust did not stop there, blasting seven shots on net to lead all skaters while adding a hit in 18:30 TOI. The 31-year old winger now has three goals and six assists with 40 shots on goals since the start of January. The Penguins are at home against the Panthers on Wednesday.

Connor Hellebuyck - Picks up winHellebuyck stopped 35 of 36 shots in Saturday's 2-1 win over the Penguins.
ImpactAfter uncharacteristically losing three straight games and not producing a save percentage above .900, Hellebuyck was stellar on Saturday night against an offensive onslaught from the Penguins. He stopped the first 20 shots fired his way until Bryan Rust tipped an Erik Karlsson wrister from the point top shelf that he had no chance on. He was unbeatable after that, kicking aside the next 15 shots sent his way. The former Vezina-trophy winner has some of the best numbers of his career with a .925 save percentage and a 2.19 GAA.

Tristan Jarry - Loses in low-scoring gameJarry stopped 29 of 31 shots in Saturday's 2-1 loss to the Jets.
ImpactTalbot was sharp for the most part Saturday, but a pair of Jets goals in the first period proved enough to stick him with a 2-1 defeat. He couldn't stop a Mark Scheifele slap shot from an odd-man rush or a Nino Niederreiter backhand finish but was able to keep the Jets at bay for the remainder of the game. His teammates just couldn't solve opposing netminder Connor Hellebuyck with more than one goal. The 28-year-old netminder has gone 3-3-2 with a solid .914 save percentage since the start of January. He'll likely be back between the pipes Wednesday when Pittsburgh hosts the Panthers.
