Joona Koppanen - Summoned from minors Koppanen was recalled from AHL Wilkes-Barre/Scranton on Sunday.
Impact Koppanen has contributed one goal, four shots on net, two blocked shots and 20 hits in six NHL outings this season. Due to the absence of Philip Tomasino (upper body), Koppanen will probably be in the lineup against Chicago on Sunday.

Philip Tomasino - Won't play Sunday Tomasino (upper body) won't be in the lineup against Chicago on Sunday, Michelle Crechiolo of the Penguins' official site reports.
Impact Tomasino is still being evaluated and will miss at least one game after logging 7:09 of ice time in Saturday's 5-3 win over Dallas. Since being acquired from Nashville on Nov. 25, he has generated 10 goals, 20 points, 83 shots on net and 52 hits across 48 outings with Pittsburgh. After being recalled from AHL Wilkes-Barre/Scranton on Sunday, Joona Koppanen will probably replace Tomasino versus the Blackhawks.

Alex Nedeljkovic - Starting in Chicago Nedeljkovic will be between the pipes in Sunday's road game versus the Blackhawks, Michelle Crechiolo of the Penguins' official site reports.
Impact Nedeljkovic will get the second half of Pittsburgh's back-to-back after Tristan Jarry played in Saturday's 5-3 win over Dallas. The 29-year-old Nedeljkovic has a 13-14-5 record with one shutout, a 3.19 GAA and an .892 save percentage through 36 appearances this season. Chicago sits 26th in the league with 2.70 goals per game in 2024-25.

Ilya Lyubushkin - Adds assist in Saturday's loss Lyubushkin registered an assist, two blocked shots and two PIM in Saturday's 5-3 loss to the Penguins.
Impact Lyubushkin ended an 11-game point drought with the helper when he assisted on Evgenii Dadonov's third goal of the contest. Offense is still a secondary factor for Lyubushkin, who continues to fill a top-four role as a shutdown defender. He's matched his career high with 14 points (one goal, 13 assists) this season while adding 48 shots on net, 81 hits, 130 blocked shots, 32 PIM and a plus-8 rating.

Impact Heinen's production has been fairly pedestrian since he was traded to Pittsburgh from Vancouver. His helper snapped a five-game slump Saturday, and he has eight points across 23 outings in his second stint with the Penguins. Overall, the 29-year-old forward is at 26 points, 76 shots on net, 78 hits, 35 blocked shots and 31 PIM across 74 appearances.
